Take THREE! Another Spring Break PTR

Completely stinks you have to had back early. I understand the dealings with the ex and shared custody though. My DH has joint custody of his daughter so all plans have to coordinated with the schedule and confirmed if they overlap...ugh! Luckily we didn't have any issue with the planning for this trip!

Also, wanted to share with you that Ormond Beach is a nice beach that is abut 1 1/2 hours from Disney. Not so built up and Spring Break Crazy like Daytona Beach...so might be worth checking out.

Thanks for taking a peek at my PTR, feel free to provide any suggestions :)

Thanks! I will have to look into that beach.

I went to your PTR, and realized I've already been reading it!! Just haven't said anything.

LOL...Well, I'm glad you are following along. I'm planning on doing a quick update soon. Just not that much to report on lately, but I have a couple of things to update.

We have about 6 inches of snow on the ground and tons of ice. I am so ready for Florida!!!

I have been doing a little shopping for our trip. Since it's the kids' first time (and my first time since 1990) I wanted to get a few things that I probably wouldn't normally get.

* 3 new Disney t-shirts for everyone
* Character spinning glow wands, regular glow wands and glow necklaces
* Carriage cage and chain for my DD's pick a pearl (birthday gift from me when we're there)
* I made pressed penny labels for mini M&M tubes, and filled them with quarters and pennies
* Pins and pin lanyards (I have been buying a few at a time for over a year, but I am done for now LOL)
* Princess dress for my DD's American Girl doll, since she begged me to let her come along
* Mickey umbrella stroller for my little one (was looking for one so I wouldn't have to bring my huge stroller, and found this Mickey one for $5 at a thrift store!)
* Rain ponchos from the dollar store

I can't remember what else, but that's most of it. I also found single serving cereal (the kind in the bowl, so you just add milk and eat) for .35 cents each, so I grabbed a bunch of those. We plan on eating breakfast in our room most mornings and my kiddos love cereal, so I was really happy to find that deal! I am bringing bagels and granola bars for myself.

I also customized our magic bands, and I cannot wait to get them!

I made a few changes today! I know you're so surprised, right?!

I decided that I wanted to do the Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage, but I only had ONE night where we could fit it in, without missing out on something else. Sadly, when I called that night was booked up :sad1: The CM on the phone talked me into moving my HDDR time to 6:15 instead of 8:30 (she said we would be able to do both). Well, once I got off the phone with her, I thought about it and realized we would really be pushing it, and would miss out on some of the pre-voyage partying. So, I made the sad choice to cancel HDDR altogether. I replaced it with Chef Mickey, since it's right there by the P&P Voyage. I'm sure the kids won't mind, since they don't know what they are missing, but I am more than a little bummed. That's what I get for waiting so long. I was just lucky to be able to book the P&P voyage, since it's completely booked up every other night we are there.

To recap, here's my ADRs (incuding special events):

4/12: Chef Mickey dinner, P&P Fireworks Voyage
4/13: Be Our Guest lunch FP, 1900 Park Fare dinner
4/14: 50's Prime Time Cafe late lunch/early dinner
4/15: Akershus breakfast
4/16: Chef Mickey late breakfast, TT Fireworks Dessert Party

Aw! It stinks about HDDR, but I think you will have a blast on the Fireworks Cruise...definitely on my Bucket List. It also looks like this will be on your first day...what a great way to kick off your trip!!!

I am really excited about it! I just ordered pirate costumes for my kids, too. It will be our 2nd night in Orlando, but our 1st night in Disney. We are getting there on the 11th, but staying off property that night before checking in on the 12th. We are going to see YeeHaa Bob the night we get in. I just love him!

:rotfl2:

I promise these changes will stop soon, because all the restaurants are getting booked up. I'm still hoping to be able to get an earlier ADR time for Akershus (same day), but that will be the only change I make after this. Hopefully.

Since we ended up with 2 Chef Mickey ressies, I really wanted to change our last day brunch ressie to something else. After looking at what was available, then looking at menus, I decided on Tony's Town Square. I got a 1:30 ADR for lunch, so we can eat, then walk right outside and grab a spot for the parade. Perfect timing! :woohoo:

Still following alonhg. Happy I'm not the only one changing ADR's. It seems like I've changed them atleast 50 times since I first booked them 180 in advance. Lol Now I only have 7 weeks left and I'm still changing them. Just changed five of them a few days ago.

I was really hoping to move my park days around, because of crowd levels, but the ADRs I want are booked, so I am keeping things as they are. Every single day, we are going to the LEAST recommended park :crazy2: Oh well.

I really need someone to cancel their really early Akershus breakfast on my Epcot day, so we can get in earlier.

We are now at 22 days! :yay: A couple days ago we got some fun mail

I took the gray part off my DD3's magic band because it was way too big for her, so that's why it looks different in the picture. Of course we all had to try them on!

Then, the kids and I sat down for a trip down memory lane. (Sorry for the bad picture quality- these pictures are about 24 years old)

Love the pictures!! My Mom just told me she dug out our old Disney pictures so I will need to take a look next time I'm over there. Your trip is so close!! I know you and the kids must be getting so excited!

Thank you :)

I love looking at old pictures! The kids got a kick out of seeing me so young.

I think my son is tired of hearing about Disney... he just wants to go. But, the girls and I are so excited!!! We are watching youtube videos every night, watching Disney movies on the weekends, etc.

EEEEK!!! We are finally in the teens!!! 19 days and counting :cool1:

We live about 2 hours from Washington DC, so yesterday I decided to take my girls to the zoo. I figured it would be nice to get out since the weather was finally nice enough to be outside for a long period of time, and it would be good practice for all the walking in Disney. My 3 year old hated her stroller, refused to hold my hand (and screamed like I was trying to kill her when I held her hand tight so she couldn't get away). It was definitely eye opening, and now I am terrified of how things will go in Disney. Here are a few pictures from our little outing :)

So, originally, I had planned on using Kids Nite Out on our last night there, so that my older kids and I could ride the bigger rides in MK, since my 3 year old is too small. I ended up finding a local family who are friends of a friend, and their teenage daughter was willing to come to the park with us and hang out with my little one while we ride!! :woohoo:

Since I made that change, I called Disney to see if I could add my little one to our TT dessert party reservation, since she would now be in the park with us. I just knew it would be booked, and there wouldn't be room for her, but I called anyway. And.... pixiedust: .... they were able to add her!!! I am so excited!

On another note, we are almost completely packed. I know, I might be crazy, but I've been getting so excited!! We are down to just 14 days now.

:rotfl2:

I know, I know, I know. I said I was finished making changes, but the more I looked at our park days, the more discouraged I got. I had our MK day planned on an EMH (morning AND evening) day. Since I know we wouldn't use the evening EMH, I really think it wouldn't be worth it to fight the crowds and go that day. So, I had to swap my MK and HS days. I lost an ADR I really wanted (1900 Park Fare) in the process, though :(

Our new plans are:

Parks: AK, HS, MK, EP, MK

ADRs at: Chef Mickey (dinner), Hollywood & Vine (breakfast), 50's Prime Time (dinner), Akershus (breakfast), Crystal Palace (breakfast)
We also have a BOG lunch FP

Other: Pirates & Pals fireworks voyage, TT dessert party

I am watching for a 1900 Park Fare dinner to open up, but other than that I really am DONE! LOL

I got a call fro Disney today. Apparently they gave me a non-existent time for the TT dessert party, and it's actually completely booked the entire week we will be there :( So, to apologize, they gave me a complete refund, and are arranging for my family to have a spot in the Rose Garden with a dessert tray during Wishes that evening! pixiedust:

The exact same thing happened to one of the ladies on my April Disney facebook page. They gave her the option of the Rose Garden with a free dessert box, or Illuminations viewing party. I think she opted for the Rose Garden.

Yeah, they gave me the same options. I don't understand why the booked people for a non-existent party :confused3 But, we will still get a dessert party... only it will be FREE and a better view! :thumbsup2
