No flames from me-- we did not like VOTLM! We think it's an embarrassment to have something like that in the same park at BATB, which is just incredible!
Sounds like you had a really nice afternoon/night-- nothing worse than those post-Fantasmic crowds!

VOTLM was our very first family attractions, we got escorted in just as the doors were closing. We had terrible seats. But the bubbles, the rain, it was our first exposure to that sort of Disney immersion.

I like the "glow in the dark" aspect of the show puppets. So it holds a find place in our hearts.

Great day, but I understand the frustration walking around trying to get to do something. Happy you saw BatB, it is a fabulous show.

And Fantasmic - well it;s my favorite of all the evening entertainment!

Grrr. Lotso. What a meany!

Sounds like your day at DHS was similar to mine! Rides kept going down left and right. I don't know what the deal was with DHS this fall!

I'm not a fan of Fantasmic. I wasn't impressed with the show itself and I think the crowd just adds to me not loving the show. It's a pain in the butt to get out of there, especially if it's the only show and at park closing, so EVERYONE is heading in the same direction.

Have you every see the Christmas Show at Radio City? Lots of kick lines there!

It was a bit frustrating at first, but we didn't really plan on doing any rides that evening. We reserved it for shows.

We're happy we saw Fantastmic, but we probably won't see it again (until this next baby is a little older). I don't know why they made the exit path so narrow. I hated it!

I've seen that production twice when it has come through Buffalo. The Rockettes are fantastic! Not a lot of hard choreography, but so precise.

VOTLM needs some updating for sure. The whole laser light things went out in the 90's. Very outdated. It definately doesn't compare to Disney's other shows (Nemo, FOTLK, Beauty and the Beast).

It was a nice night, but I could do without the Fantasmic crowd.

"Under the Sea" was really the only good part of the show for us. I just remember loving that show when I was younger. The shows at AK have definately put VOTLM to shame though.

We really did just walk around a lot that night at first, but that was ok.

IllumiNations and Wishes are still my favorites!

I'm not a fan of Little Mermad show either. Claire did love it, but I thought it was awful. I am also not a fan of the Beauty and the Beast show. Now the show itself was good with costumes and acting, but I was unimpressed that it was the same exact story as the movie. I was hoping for some added new thing to it. Like life after being with the beat. LOL!

We did end up having a great time at DHS that evening. The only things I wanted to get to that night were VOTLM (such a bust), BaTB and Fantasmic...at least we accomplished our goals!

I'm so happy we entered the theater when we did. There really was no need to stand in line with all of the other people (that line stretched all the way down Sunset Blvd!). We didn't have to wait in line at all to enter the theater and it was great!

I feel pretty good lately. Not getting as nauseous as I was before, but still very tired all the time and I have no motivation lately!

VOTLM just needs some serious help. The screen at the back of the stage is SO blurry and it's just a big waste of time.

I thought that Beauty and the Beast was really great. The Nemo show at AK is the same as the movie too. Now, the Broadway show of Beauty and the Beast has some new songs and such and is out of this world amazing!!

Great update! I agree. VOTLM needs a facelift. I enjoy the songs but its very outdated, they could do so much better. I do like BaTB. It's such a cute show. I love the kicklines as well. I always want to dance as part of that show. ahhahaha. Too bad that ship has sailed.

I fiqured the second show wouldn't be that bad! I also would have liked to see Beauty and the beast, I never seen it but having boys I don't expect too. I also couldn't deal with the love bugs...ewww..

Lotso sure is one of those characters you want to hate but he's just so darn cute and cuddly looking. And then to add that he smells like strawberries- I don't think I'd be able to resist giving him a big ole hug!

Good tip bringing a snack to Fantasmic to pass the time. I'm determined that we are seeing it on our next trip. I was so bummed last trip that it was pouring on our night we were supposed to go.

I also haven't seen Fantasmic. It looks wonderful but kinds of nuts to get into. Do you think it was worth it? Sorry to hear VOTLM was kind of a dud. Bummer!

I made such a big deal about seeing VOTLM to Madison and we all left feeling disappointed. BaTB was great and we all enjoyed it very much. We bought Madison the movie for her birthday in October and she watches it all the time now.

Thanks! We saw the line to get into the 2nd show on our way out of the park. Craziness!!! I can imagine that your boys wouldn't want to see BaTB...altough Gaston is awesome!

I definately hated Lotso in TS3, but he's so cute in person! Besides, Madison loves meeting the villains!!

Love bugs are just weird and gross. Such odd little creatures.

I do think it's worth it, but I don't think we'll see it again. I recommend seeing it once though...it's a great production.

I finally am getting a chance to read your TR tonight. The sunrise/cloud pictures are beautiful.

Looking at your pictures from EOS is making me hungry--so yummy! We ate there for the first time on our trip too and we definitely plan on going back to it.

I mentioned it on FB but congratulations again on your pregnancy!! I hope the early stages did not effect you too much at Disney.

I flipped over MS when I saw it our first Saturday--I just had to bask in it and so did DD. We just loved it! Have you gone in with the holiday decorations yet? I have that on my someday list too (can't you tell it gets longer by being here on DIS )

I was so happy to get my braces off finally! I need to get back at wearing my retainer more consistent though. I got out of practice.

The love bugs were insane while we were there too which makes sense since we left on the 18th. I have never seen anything quite like that (even with camping and hiking).

Glad you had some time to catch up on my TR. I've been moving fairly slowly lately with it.

I too need to start wearing my nighttime retainer. Thankfully, I have permanent ones, so that's a relief. My gag reflex is SO bad right now that I can't even put in my top retainer. I have to immediately take it out!

Our December has been wonderful. Very busy, but I wouldn't change it for anything.
