We are staying at the BWV and want to go to the MK on the Monday after we get there.

MK opens at 9am and Epcot should be open at 8am for EMH. Should we get to the bus stop to MK at around 8ish and get to the park early OR head over to Epcot through the International Gateway at 8am (does it open any earlier?) and cut through Epcot for the monorail? Maybe even stopping by Soarings on the way out and getting to the MK a little later? Is this even feasible?

What would you do? We will be pushing strollers by the way.

Walking from the International Gateway to the front of Epcot would take awhile. You have to pass the UK and France and go all the way through FW out the exit and up the ramp. Plus you will need to walk from BWV to the gateway which would be longer than walking to the bus. Passporter has some great walking times posted on their map.

Going from Epcot to MK requires two monorail rides. You need to change at the Transportation and Ticket center.

You'll probably get more answers on the Transportation Board but taking the bus will be much quicker IMHO.

I agree that the bus will be a lot easier for you. The walk from the boardwalk area to the International Gateway with strollers will probably take 10-15 minutes. When you enter you will be in World Showcase and it's probably another 15 minutes just to get to the main Epcot entrance. As the previous poster noted you would then have to take the monorail to the TTC and transfer to the MK monorail. I would not want to be in the TTC area at that hour in the morning. It is likely a madhouse at that hour. Suggest you simply take the bus from the Boardwalk to the MK.
ps.........If you want a great breakfast try Spoodles, a few doors away from the Boardwalk Inn. Great food and service. It is a nice quiet place to start your day. My DS and I love their breakfast pizza/flat bread, but all their breakfast items are really very good.

Avoid the TTC when at all possible, especially in the morning. That is where everyone who drives in to visit MK have to go to get into the park making it very crowded.
The bus will be faster and more relaxing way to get to MK.

I agree take the bus monarail back if you want to ride it

I agree with everyone else. I've found that it's not always necessary to be at EPCOT, Disney Studios, or Animal Kingdom at the rope drop, but if you want to get a lot of things done, it's kind of a must for Magic Kingdom. That's the park we always run out of time for, even with two full days planned.

Thanks everyone for the responses!

Re-reading what I wrote, what was I thinking?!!! :confused3 Even I can see now that the bus would be much easier and less stressful! In my defensive, I posted late at night and my brain cells were asleep even if my body wasn't!! Lol!! :rolleyes1
