Just wondering if the counter service restaurants will package their desserts for you in a takeaway/to go package so you can take them back to your room (in a bag or box, for example, instead of on a plate)?

I always bring a collapsable food container (easy to keep in my bag) for just such items. The only time I've ever gotten a takeaway box was at Norway's bakery for school bread. Other places may have them, but I've not experienced that.

I’d be sure to pack some zip lock bags or disposable containers in your park bag for left-overs/to-go dishes, especially if going to F&W

Reminds of years ago on the DDP eating at The Cheesecake Factory Express at DisneyQuest. We were so full after lunch we took our massive desserts and put them in the fridge in our room. Ate them for breakfast the next day.... Breakfast of Champions. :)
I can always figure out a way to justify having dessert for breakfast. Just think of all the dairy you had-great calcium. ;)

The idea that only certain foods are "breakfast" foods is just that - an idea. I mean who - other than the grain growers I'm pretty sure - decided that "breakfast" can only look like cereal and toast, or pancakes or waffles, or eggs, etc. and not chicken, potatoes, and green beans?

That was one of the best hidden quick service spots at WDW. Of course you had to pay to go in but if you did, eating the Cheesecake food was great. We'd get the large pizza (SO GOOD) and a couple orders of fries and drinks ... great desserts. Price was right!

Ok sorry for interrupting. To OP we have found almost everywhere we tried (QS) they offered us a second plate to put on top. I now carry ziploc bags, some gallon so if they offer just two plates they easily slide in to my ziploc bag. Some are premade in little cups so they slide easily into a quart or sometimes lunch bag.

I once wanted a cupcake "to go" from a place that only served them on a paper plate. I asked for a (paper) coffee cup. I took the wrapper off the cupcake and then put the cupcake in the cup. No lid, but I was able to eat the cupcake with a fork as I walked around the park.

Cake is just a version of waffles - eggs, milk, flour. So obviously an acceptable breakfast option.

Steve
I mean….this is definitely a reason why I avoid waffles/pancakes/biscuits while at home. On vacation though? Bring me all the carbohydrate breakfast foods!
