So happy to be missed! Things just been kinda crazy, yet have little to post about...go figure. Today is DH's B-day....he's 32. Opened early presents last night....books from the kids (to read to them at bedtime....J.M. Barrie's Peter Pan from Walt since he gets chapter books during bottle and Doreen Cronin's {u]Duck for President[/u] from Abbie....one of her favorite picture book authors, and DH's, too! From me his early presents were shorts and a polo shirt from Old Navy. His shorts from last year (actually 3 or 4 years old) were just looking a little out of date... Plus, he'd actually mentioned needing some!!

Tonight he gets a GPS receiver, logbook, stamp, and a "how-to" tutorial on geo-caching and letterboxing....basically treasure-hunting for adults...all using a GPS receiver and clues people have left on internet sites devoted to the hobbies Sure hope he likes the idea....it was a complete shot in the dark!!

Had a handyman in this morning to fix a ceiling patch in the kitchen and master bath, so spent the entire morning trying to keep the kids out of the falling plaster Also found time to bake DH's cake (with Abbie's help...she's a whiz running the KitchenAid mixer!!), do laundry, put it away, and frost/decorate the cake!

Uh oh...garage door. DH is home. Must get this off the screen. Bye for now!!

Gov school is a full month program offered in the summer for kids intereseted in the arts and languages. There were only 2 chosen to apply and audition from our school for theater. Sam was one of them. The best part is that the whole program is free!! A month vacation for Samt hat won't cost me a dime!!

Cheeringmom--Congrats on Sam being pick for VA Girl State--I went to MD Girl State back in 1989 and had a lot of fun---won an election, chosen for an award....I was the only one of the four from my school that went that year to enter various elections and recieved an award.

The easter egg collectors are models. Look at those poses. Swinging baskets, eggs, legs and rosey cheeks. How cute are they and what day did you do the hunt on? No coats on those kids. Ours was Saturday and it was a balmy 48 with the sun shining. It couldn't have been warmer there.

By the way, I could have picked out Nancy pants without help. She looks conceited and like an all proper do gooder.

Who took the family photo? I don't see llebrekniT or is it DHB that is missing. Sorry.....smack me later. I have never seen good photos of either of you and youins' both have dark hair. RIGHT?

llebrekniT and DHB should save all of their girls baby clothes for me. Just in case I have a baby girl. Read THIS ----------> I am NOT pregnant now.

It was in the high 60's & sunny. HA!

A close family friend who always comes to family functions took the picture. I am the one in the cool madras plaid shorts, llebrekniT has a blue checked shirt & she says her face looks quite distorted & she is not that fat.

Well, when I was little I lived WAY out in the country. So everytime there was a thunderstorm we lost power and things had an annoying habit of exploding all around us, so they used to scare the daylights out of me!! Since I've had kids, I have to be the "grown-up" and keep them from being scared, but I still don't like them and will try to stay inside at all costs!

We had a television get hit by lightning and mini-explode. The phone got hit once, which got to the answering machine. It was dark, but all we heard was something hit the wall and we smelt something burning. When the lights came back on, we found the tape from the answering machine across the room and the answering machine had burnt/melted. The lightning evidently exploded the tape across the room and it sat there and smouldereed. Freaky for a little kid....I always thought I was next

Well, since we were out in the country, we really only got one station (NBC) most of the time I was growing up, although I got to see afternoon shows at my aunt's house after school. Ditto, here, except DH says it, and unfortunately, I know it's true. Technically, the hips are big, but it's all on the sides and tummy....can't seem to fill the butt of most of my pants. Speaking of butts..............my lil cousin, Muzzey, LOVES to moon Honey (his sis and my cuz) and me!!! he even sits there and talks with his butt!!!!!!!! i know, freak, but whatever!!!!!!!! anyway.....one day he was talkin with his butt. he had been doing it every single time we saw him, so we got an idea!!!! we got out the "bigdaddy" paintball gun!!! we loaded it, and i went outside and called him. and as we knew he would, he dropped his pants!!!! before he knew it, his butt was purple and yellow!!!! honey shot him twice!!!!!!!1 it was sooooooooooooo hilarious!!!!!!!!!!!

Lacey and Kalyn are still fighting!!!!!!! No, I know for a fact that Lacey doesn't like Travis. But Kalyn and Travis have been sneaking around "making out", and then saying that they never even talk to each other!!!!!!! It is just a matter of them lying and "someone" wanting to start something.
