Cheering mom, we just got the book last week and I'm bringing home a highlighter to highlight stuff. I've had a cold the last few days so I haven't been able to read much. My DS's SI issues are elevated due to his PDD diagnosis. As a matter of fact I'm waiting for another book called the explosive child.

I'm so glad Lauren had a good day. Things are ok with us, DS is having a bit of a hard time, can't wait for the good weather so he can get out more.

I'm almost done with shopping for the swap hope to get there on Friday and ship it out on Saturday.

Good afternoon everyone from a beautiful sunny day in England. Today has been really good. It was so warm for a change this afternoon that we took the kids out for some extra sports lessons. We joined 2 classes together and one teacher took a group who wanted to play rounders (kind of like baseball) and I took the group who wanted to play football (soccer). We had a great time. This morning we did some cooking, the kids made chocolate birds nests and then we put mini eggs in them. We ate one at snack time and took the other home!

When I got home I found a note saying a neighbour had taken in a package for me so hopefully Lewski709 it should be my oreos. However he is not answering his door (but his cars are both in the drive.) I guess he is either sleeping or out in his back garden and can't hear me knocking (why do people not have door bells?) Or I hope he isn't just ignoring me and eating my oreos I will let you know if the package is the oreos.

Well I've got tons of planning to get on with and things to sort out for my trip to London at the weekend so I will call in again later.

O.K. a real quickie here because there is more to do than can ever be done..

Shows: I watch anything detective related. CSI (both) A&E and CourtTV. All those shows. My DH says I'm just taking notes in case I ever want to "get rid of" him. HA! What a hoot!. Sometimes he has trouble falling asleep if I'm watching a show when we're in bed. (Hmmmm, maybe I am in need of professional help.)

Magazines: I have an ongoing sub for Vanity Fair and Architectural Digest (I have no idea why. maybe it's the pictures of beautiful houses I'll never own and never have to clean). I also read PSM and Gamepro just to keep up with my son. For myself it's Disney mag and Real Simple. Sometimes I buy Woman's World when I'm in the store and haven't finished an article by the time I check out.

Books: I'm a mystery buff. Right now I'm trying to catch up on "The Cat who" books and I'm reading Joan Hess's Maggody series. I also read anything SciFi/Fantasy. I've been rereading my Thomas Covenant: the Unbeliever series and Incarnations of Immortality series.

My first job was a Unimart creeper clerk. I hated that job with a passion.

Cell Dogs on Animal Planet..... I'm such a nerd but I love how the inmates and dogs work together to train the dogs for a loving home........it's almost like giving the inmates a second chance too and definitely something useful to do besides the obvious!

Designers Challenge on HGTV-wish I could afford to be on that one!

Changing Spaces- I still watch although it's getting kinda old

I absolutely HATE While You Were Out because the host and workers are SO FAKE and are trying too hard to make the show exciting.....needs to be rethought out if you ask me...ok, I'm off the soapbox now...maybe I should visit the Dark Side with my opinionated little self

Magazines: I read Marie Claire and Heat (a kind of celebrity gossip mag!)

First job: As a silver service waitress for Hilton hotel. It was a christmas job (which I hated!).

Oh and I agree Colin First is yummy, but Hugh Grant is yummier (in Bridget Jones and Love Actually)

[COLOR=FF0033]cadburysmom[/COLOR] Yes I am going to see a west end show. DH and I go a few times a year to stay overnight and catch a show or two. We usually see musicals (we have seen quite a few of them as we both love music and the theatre) but this time we are going to see a play staring Gillian Anderson (Dana Skully in the x-files.) I think she is a good actress and thought it would be interesting seeing her in a different role. We will probably go to a few museums (the British museum and the science museum are my favourites.) Museums in London are now all free to go it although it is suggested you make a donation. We will probably go to Harrods for Lunch on Sunday. The Thai restaurant is really nice, and will probably have a look around Selfridges (another huge store) and Hamlys (Britains biggest toy store!)

Sorry to post again but I have just noticed my counter is nearly in single digits!! London this weekend, Paris the next (that sounds so jet set!!!!) I am getting so excited One of my friends left work early today as she is going to Australia tonight (her flight leaves in an hour!). It suddenly felt summer today, sunny weather and people getting ready to go abroad on holiday!!

I was just sitting down with a cup of tea a few minutes ago when the doorbell rang. It was my neighbour with my package.
My orreos have arrived, Thank you Lewski709 I didn't realise you could get them in so many different flavours!! I am currently enjoying a white fudge flavour with my cup of tea. Is there anything I can send you in return as you sent so many? I could send you some Cadburys chocolate (I have clearence for that now!), or something from London this weekend or a pin or something from Disneyland Paris???? Just let me know. Hey Lewski709, if they are monitoring your usage at the internet connection, you might (sigh) ask about using your computer on breaks to acces a vacationing site. They could get upset about you "Using Company Equipment" for personal things. They might also not register what times you are on. Actually, they may not be able to do any monitoring at all...it may just be a feint to scare people into doing more work...

But seriously, if they are so persnickety, they might be upsut by you logging on here during breaks...Hey, you are a supervisor, why not ask for someone else?

If all else fails, get an internet phone with a browser in it.....

Now I'm just sitting here having a break from typing a cover letter for a job application. Over here teachers apply directly to a school they would like to work at. A brand new school (opens September) needs teachers, it is a real state of the art school, wireless computer network with laptops for children and everything. I really want to work there. My current head mistress is friends with the head they have just appointed there so she said she would put in a good word for me, so here's hoping they like me.

I think I will fill the application in tomorrow though as it does not have to be in for anpther week and its getting late here (I don't want to make a mistake on the form!)

Does anyone have any good plans for this evening? I think I will watch TV for a bit now.
