Crystal Palace and the Magic Kingdom! At least that's were I'd be!

No, Dear brother, llebrekniT is in EPCOT at the Princess Breakfast. Where else would she take Ella?

Oh, Lewski709, great job of throwing my brother off. he can't figure out what he said. He is so funny yet sweet in thought. I don't think he will ever understand us girls...

Deadheadbelle I TOLD you Colin was a Hottie! Have you seen Bridget Jones' Diary? If not, rent it. (Can't wait for the sequal) He's also in the A&E miniseries "Pride and Prejudice" that you can rent.....about 12 hours long.....but you can skip through to his scenes!::yes:: Actually, it's an excellent production of my favorite Jane Austen. The character he plays in "Bridget", Mark Darcy, is drawn from the character, Mr Darcy, in "P&P". In the second 'Bridget" book, she goes off to France to interview...Collin Firth....she and her gal pals are wild about him and keep replaying a scene in "P&P" with a dripping wet Colin Firth!

So much for the actor/book/movie trvia of the day.

I knew someone here had mentioned him. Have you seen What A Girl Wants? It's one of those teenage girl movies, I think it was rated PG (maybe even G). It was really cute though. Anyway, he is super hot in it. I have seen Bridget Jones' Diary, but I may have to see it again. I may need to swing by the video store in search of Pride & Prejudice. I love that book.

BTW, one of you is close.....correct park, wrong dining establishment...

Well, for Dinner last night RRBB fimally made me my Parsnip Balls. I have been after her for a while now. I am getting home from work, she tells me and I Smile brightly. She then says "You do realize it is deep fried." I said OK, "It can be fun; did you find the fryer?" (Silent Pause) "No" (as I see a pot of oil on the stove). She is then at the breading stage. "I think it is too runny!!!" I say "Add some corn starch or flour" "But the recipe doesn't call for it and I have to cover it in bread crumbs." At times like this, having learned discretion, I let her finish them. By the time we were ready to eat (partly my fault) they were cold, really soft and yucky gooey. They were beautiflly fried and they tasted OK. They would have been much better hot.

Lesson learned: Next Time I do the Frying. I used to make a really killer chicken strip for my Nephew (before his family went off and wants nothing more to do with me over the graduation thing...still a sore subject)

Good morning all. No time to sit and chat this morning. I have to be somewhere at 9:00. Oh, that's just an hour from now and I still need to get dressed. Thanks for the breakfast geffric. I'll have to eat and run.

Oh, my guess for llebrekniT's breakfast location: I'm gonna go with CRT at MK.

How about Disney Studios, coffee and danish at Starring Rolls.

I bet if they are at MK, Daniel is trying to get on Buzz Light Year!

He only fixed it because I busted him first.

I was Busted by the....RRBB...

At any rate Is Carousel of progress open?

Oh, Holly is probably waiting for Philharmagic or Haunted Mansion.

Hey, CourtasanSatine, I just got an e-mail from Tivo, and they made a comment about Angel...

Praying for Angel
Fans of "Angel" don't let a Joss Whedon show bite it so easily. Two weeks ago, they hired (at $700 a day) a billboard truck to drive around Los Angeles and park at strategic locations (including THR's Wilshire Boulevard offices, Warner Bros. and the WB, Paramount, UPN, HBO and 20th Century Fox), pronouncing, "We will follow 'Angel' to hell . . . or another network." "We just want it known that we're concerned that the end seems near for quality TV drama. We don't want to lose the one last tie we have to the Joss Whedon universe," Theresa Fortier, one of the instigators of the www.savingangel.org Web site, told The Hollywood Reporter. Some $22,000 from several hundred donors have been raised in just a few weeks.

CourtasanSatine Hey there! I got so excited when I saw your list of preferred magazines. I've been reading Fangoria since the very beginning when they first started publishing! Jeez, that's been for about 25 or so years now. Yikes!

I've also been known to go to the Fangoria Horror Convention (big geek that I am).

As for the QOTD's, I watch Friends, CSI, CSI: Miami, Sopranos, and for a quilty pleasure, American Idol.

And for what I'm reading, aside from the aforementioned horror mag, I'm in the middle of Twister. A trashy book written in the mid-70's during the heyday of Earthquake and Towering Inferno. I've always been fascinated by those types of novels and movies. And ironic enough, I'm on the Office of Emergency Management's/Mayor's Office call list in time of disaster in NYC. Who'd a thunk it?

Good Morning RickinNYC, gotta get dressed and go to work... I'll check in later...

I'm going to guess that llebrekniT is in the MK too. It's the first full day of her trip, she has young kids, and it's the middle of the week, so it shouldn't be too crowded.

Speaking of magazines, that would be a good QOTD. You can probably tell a lot about a person by what mags they subscribe to. I don't subscribe to any, but the two that I buy the most are:

People (this is my weekly educational reading ;) )
Real Simple (although I don't think paying $50.00 for a white tee shirt is living very simply  )

When I'm feeling motivated, I sometimes buy Weight Watchers Magazine.

Hey all!

Just wanted to check in. We are heading down to DisneyLand until tomorrow on a little impromptu trip! I am so excited! I just dread the drive thru LA to get there! They need to make a bridge over LA that goes straight to DL! I looked on the Gatherings boards and didn't notice any one still down that way.

We have reservations (made on Expedia for half the Disney quoted price) at the DisneyLand Hotel and a two day park hopper and we are going to have so much fun! I am going to call once we get there and see if we can make PS for the Bayou restaurant, or maybe the Napa Rose.

Welp, hope you all have a great two days and I will post when we get back!

RickinNYC : Fangoria comes in handy with all the horror movies coming out:)

Ohana: I've joined the Save Angel fight too

I'm trying to read a book on sensory integration issues for children (forget the name) and of course the bible of our home the TV Guide.

The Out of Sync Child"??? I'm reading that too!! There is a co book to go along with that "The out of sync child has fun." Lots of games to play. How are things going at your house???? Lauren made great progress yesterday. Went to pick her up from Bible study and she was actually playing house and conversing with another little boy!! whooo hoo!!!

Just picked up my goodies for the swap! Talk about difficult to find. I guess if I would have went into DC things would have been a lot cheaper. Oh well. Too hard to do the metro alone with the baby-esp during rush hour when I have the time to go. UGH!!

KISMETDREAMS-be prepared for the crowds! Yikes. And with all the construction going on it is hard to move around the MK. If you do CA Adventure, you gotta do SOARING. The best ride over there!! have a great time. Weather should be perfect

Thanks for the breakfast GEFFRIC!!!

OK My QOTD>>>>>>>>>>>>> What was your first real paying job??? I was a crew person at McDonalds!!!

Just a quick check-in while DS is napping...

QOTD: magazines: Better Homes & Gardens, Southern Living, Parents, Parenting, and Taste of Home (recipes)

QOTD: first job: babysitting in the church nursery every Sunday, but it was only 2.5 hours/week, but I was only 14 so it was the only job I could have; first one with real hours? day care teacher during the summer and college breaks....I filled in while most of the teachers had their 1 week vacation....different room every week all summer :) LOVED that center!

PS....look at my counter :jumping1: :jumping1:
