Hi all, I have been gone for a while...

I had some problems seeing and couldn't keep up with the Tag. I went to the Dr. yesterday and wound up getting some laser surgery. I hve to go back tomorrow and get some more. I cannot see very well out of the eye that they worked on yesterday. I have to go back tomorrow for the other eye. I hope I will be able to see better tomorrow.....

So I am Dis-Impaired until my eyes get better.....

I was trying to catch up, and reading is um well, uh sort of difficult. I can see OK for the mostpart, but the words are kind of fuzzy. I feel bad for RRBB, she hasn't had me around to help with the family.... Tonight I am supposed to let them have their girls night out... I can't see worth a flip, so I will be relying on the 12YO (who is deaf). Lord help us all; me doing diapers...the blind leading the deaf... not going to be pretty. I will handle it (I want them to have a good evening at the theater) but I am a little nervous...

BTW, Thanks for all of the PD everyone...this whole experience is a little unnerving....

ohanafamily How awful for you! Sending tons of pixie dust your way and good luck with tomorrow's surgery .....just how did this come about anyway? Were you wearing glasses before and why was your vision impaired so suddenly?

Sorry, probably should have put all this in a PM but I know everyone is wondering the same. Good luck with the babysitting tonight and I'll have my fingers crossed for you tomorrow!

Ohanafamily: Hope you feel better soon. PM me if you want to ask my mom any questions about various eye surgeries. She has had a lot in the past several years. She had a hard time restricting her web surfing several months ago when she was under going different laser and other eye repairs when her retina detatched. She is back to 6 month eye checkups and normal activities.

Well, it wasn't suddenly, and I think I have had it for a while. Basicly the blood vessels in my eyes are weak, and it has been getting slowly worse. It was at the point things were lookimg fuzzy, I went to see the Dr., he sent me to the surgeon.....
8 hour ordeal, tomorrow will be all morning. not looking forward to it.

Just heard from DW and I am off the hook for the diaper changes...woo-hoo! I am not sure about whether or not I will be going to the theater, nut... no poopy diapers tonight!!!!!

hmmm...since MTV is pretty much NOT MUSIC TV, LoL, you'd have to be up around 3:30am like me to watch them OR you can watch them here

Thanks NC Belle for the offer, I was kind of anticipating this...in several years...

The Surgeon is the best retina specialist in Dallas and he is world renown. I am good friends with his son (we go out to dinner when RRBB goes out of town).

The Laser is in his office, he put a special cantact lens in my eye (dialated) and started blasting. it took about 15 minutes, and my right eye is a little swollen still. I can see better with it as time goes on. My left eye isn't as bad, and that is what we are doing tomorrow.

Funny thig though, I told my mom where I was at and she started telling everyone I had 2 detatched retinas... sorry, not that serious. I was kind of laughing with all of the phone calls last night, but I think that they freaked RRBB out...
