Now THAT's a good idea! ::yes::

It would have to be something decadent, fun, unique, or special to your area, or we're all likely to get 20 bags of M&M's or Hershey kisses! Don't get me wrong...I love them both! But most of the fun of the last swap was seeing so many different things in our boxes :)

3. Fastasmic - (with or without dinner first--not sure)

What else?
Are we eating/drinking around the world together at Epcot or is that just the 3 of us?

Well, my dog - Belle, will eat anything! And when she catches a bug, dead or alive, she chews on it like a piece of chewing gum, and looks like a waitress at truck stop when she does it. She says they are y-u-m-m-m-y!

Did you catch his thread Sunday or was it Sat.---his backside looks good in jeans though:eek:. He was rude today---reminds me of the average young plebe at USNA when they first go there--my sister dated a few of them and decided on no more sailors or other miltary dudes.
 You just have to rule out the academy dudes! The go in as immature 18-year-olds and come out 4 years later as immature 18-year-olds. I'm sure there are some nice ones out there, but they're SO regulated there (and many other military schools...like the Citadel across town from my school in Charleston) that they never have to learn to think or make decisions on their own. Sorry, but that's how so many we've met have been.

Now the ROTC dudes....another story! Just ask me....I married one :)

{edited to add that that guy's butt does look good in those jeans!! if you read any of his stuff regularly, it seems he's a bit scared of the ladies...always chickens out before he's actually able to talk to any of them....so you have to take his rants with a grain of salt....he's pretty frustrated with the whole thing...)

Yup, that's how I choose too. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. But it sure is fun and colorful. ;)

to you and everybody else who has been congratulating me. I'd feel like I could take credit for it if it had been more of a planned out thing. It's just one of those shots that just happen. But I have found that some of my favorite pictures are ones from the back like that. I've got another one from our trip, I'll see if I can find it to post it, and it's the girls on the Poly beach, from the back and it's so sweet.

I've been sitting here trying to come up with the proper term for what I wanted to tell you. It escapes me, so here goes. I doubt the old bird would know this and I don't know if it law in your state but there is law pertaining to property ownership that would actually give you rights to that strip of land if you continued to do this for a certain number of years consistently. This is driving me crazy, I'll have to look up what it's called. Again, doubt she even knows this. If it were me, I'd take nice cold drink to your lawn dude and thank him for shortening my mowing time.
There's a couple things similar....adverse possession is where you're actually trying to claim title to that land...
adverse possession info
and prescriptive easements where you're not trying to take title to the land, but to continue to use it in a way you have for some time.
prescriptive easements info

With adverse possession, you have to be paying the taxes on the land or property in addition to open, notorious use hostile to the owner. With prescriptive easments, you don't. A prescriptive easement is like if you had been crossing another person's property to get to your own for so many year....basically using their land as a driveway.....if you've been doing it the required amount of time and the use was open, notoriuos, hostile to the owner, etc. they can't just one day decide you can't use it any more. If you've met the time requirement, you have the right to continue using their land as a driveway.

If you're the property owner, the way to avoid a prescriptive easement is to write a permission letter to the person crossing your land. By giving them permission, it's not hostile to you so it doesn't meet that requirement. Also, the letters usually state that permission may be revoked at any time....

The way to avoid an adverse possession is to always pay your property taxes :)

This, my friends, is what reading Bob Bruss' real estate columns for 8 years will get you! Lots of boring but helpful facts ::yes::

Were you like your daughter at that age, llebrekniT?

Do you mean sweet and adorable?:teeth:

Just kidding, I know what you mean.

First of all, she wasn't playing hooky. She told the teacher her stomach didn't feel good because it didn't. The problem is you have to know "Holly-speak" to understand what's wrong. She told the teacher it felt like it was empty and it "hurted". That means she's hungry.

Anyway, I didn't try pulling the fast one until middle school. I remember one time not wanting to go to school and trying to fake a temperature. I took the thermometer, which of course back then was REAL, not electronic, and held it over a flame! You know to heat it up and cause a temp. It exploded all over the place. That sucked.

Then when I met DH we skipped classes sometimes. It was easier to get away with then than it is now. I had some teachers that would let me "go to the library" during class to do my work. Only I would go out the back door and jump in DH's car and get outta there for a while.

I guess I was kinda bad for a good girl. ::yes::

I have a new QOTD: Do you ever eat protien bars? If so which ones? Do they taste good or disgusting?

Okay, now for the reason I'm asking. My doctor (or rather the nurse) said I should keep a supply of protein bars around. The problem is, I've never found any that taste good. I've never been able to swallow one down. I seem to start gagging after just a few bites.

Don't be so humble! That just means you have "the touch" for seeing good photos when they present themselves rather than trying to stage every photo! I prefer those natural photos, too, but don't get to do many of them on vacation. I'm always the one with the stroller (noone else has a valid double-stroller driving license  ) so when I stop, so does everyone else and they all just look at me and start hamming for the camera. Unfortunately....my kids don't "ham" well...their posed smiles are not the best. I much prefer to catch them not looking....those are the best shots...even if from the back :)

Phew, that's a relief. And who said I was a good Buckeye??? I'm a lonely little Nashvillian in a Buckeye patch...

Thanks for the spelling correction though, why would it be Cincy instead of Cinci? I may be too old to learn that new trick.
Thanks also for the Visa #... even if we don't do it, my sister has a Disney Visa and they're going right after us and can use those Disney Dollars!!!

You can send me a Disney shirt for my birthday any time... I don't even need a Nerd rope! :teeth:

QOTD: Protein bar? Not a chance. Sounds too healthy and disgusting, kind of like drinking wheatgrass or whatever it is called.

Time to run the Yo Mom! Taxi Service.

Later,

ILT

I mean this guy is insulting English women for the way he thinks we all dress and behave, yet in his signature he posts a PICTURE OF HIS BUTT!! I do not understand this guy!!

OK rant over, sorry

ohh yeah the butt guy...whats up with that?

Don't beat around the bush now, tell us how you really feel.;)

I like Jasmine and Fantasia. Really I don't have a problem with any of the one's who are left.

What I wanted to ask everyone is - DID YOU VOTE FOR WHICH SURVIVOR SHOULD GET THE MILLION?

I love photos from the back, too. I still have one pictured in my head that I missed on a trip to Macau/Hong Kong. I just couldn't get my camera out in time to catch the shot. It was of 3 little girls walking home after school, all holding hands. It was just so perfect and I still - after 7 years - kick myself thinking about that missed opportunity.

My mom swears by the EDGE ones. She gets them at WalMart (in the pharmacy section for some reason), but I think you can get them in regular grocery stores. Ours now has a HUGE health-food/organic/low-carb section and I think they have them. She likes 2 of the flavors but detests the 3rd one she tried, so she just sticks to those...wish I could remember which ones. You may have to try a variety...

Me, I'm not much of a health-food person, so I've never tried them.

If you don't mind the asking, there's nothing wrong is there? Just trying to keep levels straight? Mom eats them because she's hypoglycemic (among other things) so she has to eat high-protein, low carb diet for that....and the protein bars are an easier breakfast than bacon and eggs.

I am the queen of quoting today!

Tell me, why is young Hunter not in school today?

One time when I was mowing a little green snake came outta nowhere and without hesitation I chopped him into little bitty green snake pieces!

Um Barb, I think DHB may have to bow out of that light night Pleasure Island thing....

As far as us meeting up with you guys, I think we had decided on Crystal Palace, if that's still OK. If not, we can do a breakfast at one of the resorts. A breakfast will probably be easiest for us considering we will have baggage, I mean babies.

No, don't mind you asking. (That's what friends do you know.) And no, there's nothing wrong. I was just told I need to get lots more protien than I have been so I should eat protien bars, peanut butter, etc. If I can find any bars I can stomach I guess I'll have to resort to keeping a small jar of peanut butter nearby. I'll check out those Edge bars next time I go to the store. Thanks.

DBF and I may get some time together this weekend so what sounds good movie wise? Van Helsing is on the list as it is
