she's 21 and planning on making sure I get in deep trouble but I'm going to fight back,right now we are just giving mean looks and slient treatment.

that's really tough. How far apart are you in age? Do you usually get along or is this a lifelong sibling WW? I'm sending you PD for sure!

3 years and it's been on and off,sometimes things are good and right now it's nasty.I'm going to fight back,trust me on this one

Well, stand up for yourself!!! Yep!!! But I bet in a few years it will be much better. I fought with my sister a lot (she's 4 years younger than me) but now that we're both on our own and have kids, she's one of my best friends. We still disagree sometimes, but never is it as bad as when we were teenagers/young adults.

Good luck! :)

CourtasanSatine, If it is your sister that is going to make you pay, well, unless someone has a hold on you that is trying to keep you and DBF apart, she can't do much more. If it is his Sister then I don't see anything worse she can do to you than what his brother already has. If your parents, who I think you depend upon, have said Dump him, and your sister wants to make life miserable for you, I would negotiate a settlement.

OK, I just e-mailed my friends widow for her address; It is coming up on the 15th anniversary of his passing, and I think that these 4 books will have special meaning....I was there at both of the girls weddings, was a Pall-bearer at their GF's funeral, and most importantly held them both as babies (OK, when the older one turned 18 and got Married...I felt OLD, when she had her first child, I felt Really OLD)

Their father was big into reading, and loved science fiction. This will be a very special present that I am sure they will treasure more than I do. I wonder if I should re-read the stories first; the books are falling apart...

Oh well...gotta get up early tomorrow and open at 7:00, so a 6:00AM Wake-up alarm....

Good Night All...

:bounce:

Well, I'm pretty dead. Seems like I keep missing the nighttime parties. After I read all the posts today, I think I picked a good afternoon to miss too ... How depressing, y'all, talking all about taxes and cost of living and such. I come here to forget all that junk!!!

I'll keep my rose colored ::MinnieMo glasses on, thank you very much, and pass me my last margarita. I'm headed for the bushes.

G'night all two of you who are here!!!

And Good Morning Danauk.

:hug: :jumping1: :worship: :cat: :cake: :flower3: on 1500 posts!!! Sorry I missed you tonight. Have a good day at school. Congrats on the TV thing. What fun!

QOTD: Favorite Books
I can't think of actual titles, but I used to love reading Barbara Taylor Bradford books. She had really strong female characters in her early books. Then I read a couple that didn't impress me so I stopped reading her. The last few years I've loved reading just about anything by Nora Roberts - not really into the books she's written under the name J.D. Robb though.

I've always enjoyed Nora Roberts too. MANY years ago she wrote a couple of the skinny Harliquin (sp)type books and I said to my room-mate, "This lady should be writing REAL books!" Years later (and still quite a few years ago) I was delighted to see her name on the cover of a "real" book and have been reading them ever since.

I think maybe Deadheadbelle is psychic.........
So, Deadheadbelle guess who else is going to be in California this weekend? Yep, what's his name. He'll be at Disneyland on FRIDAY (with some people from his church, I guess). So we've exchanged cell phone numbers and when I hit Anahiem Friday night after my business dinner, we'll make contact to get together for a drink or such. He was very vague about his Sat plans....maybe Newport Beach. Also very vague about who all is in the group, but he did say he was making the drive with SOME WOMAN!!!!!! :confused3
Well, we did chat on the phone for an hour, and that was nice!

Must go to bed now, have lots to do tomorrow to get ready for my meeting and laundry etc. You know I'll check in on you all in the morning!

Nighty nite!

Good morning all, pasteries, cereal and juice are on the table for breakfast.

Congrats to your school Danauk. That must be so exciting for y'all. Do you know when they're gonna start filming? And do the kids know yet?
We haven't told the kids yet, we only found out ourselves after school yesterday. Next week is national test week for all 7-11 year olds in England. The 7-9 year olds have their test papers marked in school but the 10-11 year olds have their main tests before they leave school which are sent away for marking. We thought it would be good to tell them after their last test as a surprise. It will be a good way to end a stressful week with them.

Today I have to go through some national test stuff with my class as a mock test. My kids are the youngest in our department so it is the first time they have done these style tests so today we have to have a practice. I'm not sure how they will do!!

Oh well, I guess I better go feed the bunnies and then get to work. Please send PD my way so that the weather holds out again. We are supposed to do outdoor PE today which the kids will really need after a norning of test prep. Only we haven't managed to do a lesson over the past few weeks as it has been raining!!

Have a good day everyone,
:wave2:

Went to the doc yesterday for my check up after the ER episode. Have been monitoring my BP for the last week and they put me on meds yesterday. Weird. Not overweight, don't smoke but do little exercise. My new project-to get into shape.

Gosh I have a headache this am. Signing off.

Good morning everybody!

Good luck with the weather today Danauk! Sending you the pixie dust you requested -

Didn't I tell you this yesterday?<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/7/7_5_128.gif' border=0></a> Could've saved yourself a trip to the doc. Work it girl! Oh, and I meant to ask because I don't know if I skimmed over it - how did Lauren's playdate<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/7/7_2_107.gif' border=0></a> go?

I had a doc. appt. yesterday too. The yearly woman type. Anyway, for a while I have had some off and on pain below one of my <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/8/8_4_100.gif' border=0></a> and it has gotten worse lately. Enough to make me think that something might be going on. Well as it turns out it's just the rib I broke shoveling snow about 5 years ago. I knew it was in the same area as the rib, but it was close enough to make me worry.<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/23/23_30_100v.gif' border=0></a>

How do you break a rib shoveling snow, you ask? <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/16/16_6_17.gif' border=0></a> Oh, it's easy. You push the snow shovel with your rib cage and then run it into 1" thick edge of ice. That'll do it.::yes:: The funny thing is that when it happened, I suspected that I at least cracked it a little, but knowing there isn't much that can be done with a broken rib, never went to the doc. for it. It hurt pretty bad for a couple months and then I kind of forgot about it until I was pregnant with Ella. Then it started hurting again as she got bigger.

Anyway, told the doc. all this yesterday and he said "yes, I can feel where it's broke." So apparently it's just messed up with cartilage and stuff around it, doc. says not to worry, it's fine, it'll just hurt for the rest of my life. Probably a little arthritic too, says he.

Why am I so happy about this? Well for one thing, I was afraid it was the "C" word and for another - I never broke a bone before! At least not with confirmation. Now I can cross that one of my list of "stuff I've never done before".<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/3/3_5_17.gif' border=0></a>

So, I'm off to the landscaping center today. Anybody need anything?<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/16/16_14_9.gif' border=0></a><a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/16/16_14_7.gif' border=0></a><a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/16/16_15_3.gif' border=0></a><a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/16/16_15_2.gif' border=0></a>

Hey Bichon Barb - here's the link - http://www.homefair.com/homefair/se...efair&pagename=27&internal=T&partner=homefair - lots of good info at this site.

Good Morning everyone!

Danauk, thanks for the breakfast! I need it. I've got a busy day today. Grocery shopping, cleaning, laundry & packing for this weekend.

Cheeringmom, I hope you feel better. I bet if you just start walking everyday it'll make a difference. My dad started walking a few years ago & now he is a walking machine. You can't stop him! When my mom was in the ER with her gall bladder emergency, they thought she must be a smoker due to her shallow breathing. Her oxygen saturation was really low, like 90 (I don't really know what that means, just that 90 is low). When we asked about the breathing, the nurse nodded his head & said "she a smoker?" We all said "no!". He was surprised. I don't really know what that means, though. I think I am not making a bit of sense, so I will just do what I came here to do in the first place, give you a big ole grouphug from the TAGLIARCHY :grouphug:

ohanafamily, I think sending the books is a good idea & a very nice gesture. I'm sure they'll appreciate it.

I'm off to start stripping the beds! Woo Hoo! Big day for me!!

Have a great day!

:wave:

Thanks for breakfast DanaUK

CMOM.. are you going to start to work out with trainer so that you don't stress too much ?? Please let us know how things are going... Walking is good? or what are they suggesting??

DHB once your are done.. want to stop by here and do the same??:teeth:

Off to another fun day at work..

Deadheadbelle, {{{Group Hug}}}
:grouphug:

llebrekniT, Ouch, I cracked a rib at Universal Studios on one of the Roller Coasters. It mess up the rest of the trip, but I was fine after a month... PD to you...

Cheeringmom, You Doc is just looking out for you...{{{HUG}}}

Depplyinluv, From the list of programs you said you have on your computer, your problem is not a simple one. If it were one at my office I would re-format the computer....

This should clear up some of the problems...

[Techie Talk]
-> it sounds like you have a virus, it isn't a new one, so I would say that your antivirus software doesn't auto-update.
-> I would do the free virus scan at Mcafee.com,
-> run a spyware program...
-> Disk Cleanup
-> Defragment...

Details...
First, turn off your virus scanner... it is important because the old virus scanning software will fight the internet scan. you will need to right click on the Norton Icon and disable it temporarily. It is important not to go to any websites other than the Mcafee one, and not to open any e-mails while your norton is disabled... your system is unprotected...go to
http://housecall.trendmicro.com/housecall/start_corp.asp
It will download the latest Virus info.
You will need to check the the "AutoClean"
and then Scan Now.

Reboot your computer (to turn on your antivirus scanner,

Your computer may be fixed but slow...

Here are a couple of other links, but I have to run... More Later...

Hi guys.

Big surprise! Rick seems to be paying the most for life's little necessities.

Thanks for the PD ohanafamily, it doesn't hurt all the time and now that I know it's only the rib I won't be so worried. I kinda feel like a tough girl now. I've got a broken rib.<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/23/23_1_116.gif' border=0></a> A friend of mine had one broken while she was pregnant by the baby kicking so hard!

I'm outta here now. On top of shopping for Mother's Day and MIL's birthday it's also Teacher Appreciation Week.

See ya!

Hi TAGLIARCHY,

Thanks for the breakfast Danauk and PD for no rain. With a teacher like you, I'm sure your little people will do just fine on the testing!

Deadheadbelle, Brain Cramp... what are you packing for?

ibouncetoo - go for the gusto and the guy! It is karma that you're both there ... even if he's with someone else, he may wish he had been with you after the weekend! BTW, DH is staying at The Boulders. Do you know where that is? I asked him if he could see Camelback Mountain that was on your postcard and he says it's just beautiful! Sorry I couldn't be any help on your DL trip. Maybe next time! You're close enough to get to LA cheaply ... are you saving your pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters, dollars for the summer 2005 cruise? Too bad they can't run a week long one, then a couple of 3 night ones, then a week one, etc. It's so darn expensive!

Depplyinluv - :badpc: I am still without IE and it's making me nuts. I feel your pain, kiddo.

Cheeringmom PD and I wish you lived closer. I could use a really dedicated walking buddy that would shame me into walking every single day. Wanna move to Lewis Center? We have llama farms ...

llebrekniT - I need lots of :flower2: :rose: :daisy: :flower: :flower3: . Someone who moved here from Louisville said that they never planted annuals before the Derby there, and here we are supposed to wait until after Mother's Day. Wonder when they plant them in Canada? Oh, and I'm so glad the "C" word is not in your vocabulary!

ohanafamily, that file you e-mailed me for IE... was I supposed to just open it, or save it and then open it or what? Whatever I did, it didn't do anything. :(

Okay, this is my day... gotta whip this house into shape before the cleaning ladies get here in an hour. I have so much to pick up, that I will look like a movie on fast forward! This afternoon besides visiting here, I am working on a couple of Disney trips :teeth: for two different families, and at 3:30, I pick up Kelley at H.S. (who is staying after to pick up pine cones for the zoo for extra credit in science???) and take her to Katie's school, where we will help the art teacher set up tables for tonight's art show. We'll get home about 4:30 and Katie has a 3-page fraction (:mad: ) review sheet to do, eat dinner and be back at school at 6:00 for the show, then stay and help clean up afterward ... we'll get home about 9:00 and will finish fighting over the (:mad: ) fraction pages at about 11:00. If you are having a pool party, I won't be there until probably 11:30 EST, so it will probably be winding down by then. :(

See ya later!:wave2:
