ODDYOYO, just be glad clogs aren't in style. I remember being in junior high and walking up the stairs (which were really crowded with kids going up and down) to my next class. All of a sudden one of my clogs was about three stairs below me. Wasn't easy to get it back.

Why is everything SOOOO embarassing when you are in junior high?

Hey 39 year olds!!! Do you remember tube socks with gym shorts?

Ty Pennington{trading spaces, extreme makeover home edition} and Riley Smith{motocrossed, new york minute}!!!!!:teeth: :teeth: :teeth:

Oh, I wanna see that movie. Wonder what it will be rated. I'd like to take Holly, she loves the Olsen twinkies.

Barb, you are in the middle of a very hip and happening girlie talk. You sure you wanna talk about tube socks and clogs?

Love Extreme Makeover. Love Michael the designer. I don't get Tye, he's such a goofball!

Aha! Now I see the attraction!

HA! TB, you just wait. I'll bet a bag of Frito's that clogs come back in style within the next two years. Heck, Converse canvas high tops are back in. Whodathought bellbottoms would EVER come back.

You wait and see, the 70's were the in thing for the last five or so years. Next will be the 80's!

And the boys are going to start wearing their hair like Leif Garrett again! :Pinkbounc

Red devils? Is that what they call them?

DH coaches basketball, the 7th and 8th grade team next year. He's pretty tough, makes them do those.

So Barb, I think you have a thing about tubes. First you were talkin' tube tops, then tube socks and what did you have done to Beanie today? Yup, youin's got a problem.

Barb! You are insightful! They already are! I've seen a lot of boys wearing their hair a little long, say about chin length and they must be getting perms because it's a little wavy. I've seen this more and more and I went to the mall Sat. night and it was everywhere.

Please let the preppy phase come back just in time for Holly. I'm afraid it will come too soon.

DH got a new pair before our WDW trip last month. Black & white checked.

Is he cool or is he trapped in another time?

I dunno.

I give up trying to direct him in the fashion area. I will suggest a change of shirt or pants if need be, otherwise I just let him go as he chooses. Must pick my battles.

Ok, big guy, here's one for you.....in the early 80's, there was a slasher flick that included a scene where a women enters a laundromat and hears a thudding sound coming from inside one of the dryers.....

Just to make it hard for you, this is a two-part question:

1. What was making the thudding sound in the dryer?

2. What was the name of this slasher flick?

Good luck Rick .....your reputation is on the line here ;)
OMG.....just saw this movie on TV not too long ago or maybe we rented it or something like it. It was creepy. Ok Ok it was at a hotel, big name actors, recent movie........stuck at a hotel with a pycho killer, no one knew who he was......people were getting killed left and right and it ended up being the kid and some telepathic something or other. What was it?

Hi Lewski. What's up?

I have to go now. Gotta pick Holly up from dance class and gotta go see why Ella is making that noise again. She has a new thing, it's called the squeal. Can't stand it.

He-he. Did I ever mention I have a CD from The Tubes? :hyper: I've been searching the web trying to find tacky 80's attire. If I had a scanner at home all I'd have to do is go through my photo album. Bwhaaaaaa!

I've got a picture of me wearing tube socks, royal blue gym shorts with the white trim on them, a royal blue tee shirt with Miss Piggy on it and the worst permanent you ever saw. We would fry our hair so bad with permanents that for the first week we had to wear a bandana on our heads lacrosse player style.

:rotfl:

On time I had a haircut that was kind of like a long bob and I got a permanent. Looked just like Rosanna Rosanna Danna.

How about bi-level haircuts?

Ok, you sucked me back in.

Do you remember the wet look? The perm (or permanent, haven't heard that in years), freshly washed hair and then tons of Aqua Net.

Our second prom, DH wore a white tux, white shoes and a red shirt and sash thingie. Oh and a red and black zebra striped bandana in the pocket.

Oh, there was nothing worse than a wind blown permanent. You had to keep wetting it down.

VANS
