I am having a pretty good day, thanks. I just came back from a nice walk in the woods with my dogs. The sun is out and it's in the low 50's.

I agree with thinking he should win. He is unique and I like that. I think your wide variety of musical interests is great. I like quite a bit too. Funny thing about classical music though is that it makes me tense. I can't stand it and I admit I don't listen to Christian music. My comforting/happy music is The Grateful Dead and Beatles. I also like hip hop, rock, hard rock, oldies and some easy listening. GO ADAM! Do you know what the theme for AI is next week?

:flower3: Welcome.

You have no idea how much I envy your walks in the woods. I'm to afraid of my woods to walk in them. SNAKES.

I had to giggle at the Part where you said the Grateful Dead is your happy, comforting music. :rotfl:We definitely have different ideas of comfort. :goodvibes As far as classical music goes I'm more into what is considered new age classical. Yanni, Sarah Brightman are two of my favorites. But I really love instrumentals . I'm talking hard hitting makes you speed kind of music. Did any of you watch America's Got Talent last season? There was a twosome on there (twins) that played Violins. Oh my goodness they are good. If you ever want to look them up they are..."Nuttin But Strings" http://www.nuttinbutstringz.com/ You should check them out. You might be pleasantly surprised.

The next Idol theme is music from the movies. It's tying in to the release of the new Hannah Montana movie. She'll be performing on the results show, so will Jennifer Hudson. Also, the mentor for the contestants, Quentin Tarantino. He was a guest judge the year Fantasia won. He's a huge fan of the show.

Thanks. I remember when he was a guest judge. I never was a Fantasia fan.

Movie themes.....boy that gives them a wide range. I hope, I hope, I hope next week is a little more exciting.

Well, at least we'll have Adam to look forward to each week. I keep wondering is it really that this year is boring or if it's just that the contestants seem bored when compared to Adam?

That doing nothing without consulting Mom & Dad reminds me of something that I heard when I worked in daycare. Small kids always say that Mom & Dad are superheros, they can do anything. That slowly changes as they get to the teen years. Then Mom & Dad know nothing at all. In the late 20's early 30's maybe Mom & Dad know something. Then around the late 30's to the early 40's Mom & Dad know alot. Then around the mid-40's we don't want to do anything without consulting Mom & Dad. Then, when we're in our 60's, we wish Mom & Dad were around.

Its funny how this seems to work. I guess we are lucky, because our kids started to realize that we did know what we were talking about. I guess this started in their late teens and early 20's.

I think its the contestants seeming bored next to Adam. Allison is very good in her own right but next to Adam she just pales. I guess we must be really craving new and different talent.

good afternoon everyone :goodvibes

We don't have to worry about snakes around here. I am waiting for the ticks to start. I don't want to catch Lyme Disease! Hopefully this winter did a lot of them in.

I got news for you if you like Yanni, he does some Dead music. He might have opened for them before too. Here is some Yanni and Grateful Dead info........
Yanni's KITARO: The Light of the Spirit was co-produced by grateful dead drummer, mickey hart, this album blends cinematic melodies and images from nature to explore spiritual aspects of the life cycle.

Maybe a little of both.

Are you serious about Yanni? I had no idea. that is just to funny. :rotfl: Do you like Yanni? I've got to admit he is a favorite of mine.

Yes I am serious. :lmao: I am going to have to check Yanni out again and see what I think. It's been a long time and I really don't remember.

Smiley, I really like Yanni's Rainmaker. I like the tribal chanting sound. The violin in The Storm is amazing. Speaking of tribal sound, Mickey Hart of the Grateful Dead in 1991 produced Planet Drum. It was #1 on Billboard World Music charts for 26 weeks. It won the 1st ever Grammy Award for Best World Music Album. He is a percussionist and studies world music. I like his tribal drum sound. His background made him a good pick to co produce Yanni's album. 1 year my daughters dance instructor chose Mickey Harts music from Plant Drum for their Spring Show. I was pleasantly surprised and it made for some interesting dance routine music.

Its beginning to sound like we have similar taste in music. Do you think that music is still available? I would love to hear it.

I know . . . . I'm starting to wonder about June. I'm going in the time between Father's Day and the 4th of July. I'm in for it, I know. . .

Maybe not. Even if it is crowded you have added the park hopper to your tickets. And I'm sure you will have a good touring plan in place and you will have a wonderful time. :thumbsup2

You WILL have a wonderful time!! :rotfl:

:lmao: Why am I starting to flap my arms like a chicken?

I think the park hoppers were a good choice. BUT I've agreed to that being my Mother's Day present. Good give though, definitely something I want that I would not have gotten for myself. . .

I don't know? Are you starting to flap your arms like a chicken? :rotfl:
I have always had the park hopper added my tickets. We really do use the option. Epecially when the parks are open late.
