PaMom, have fun at the Beach!

It was warm here yesterday and the sun was out as well. It was a beautiful day and in the high 40's. I noticed lots of people out walking when we drove through town. Everyone had Spring Fever and it will continue now that we have more daylight.

About how much longer until you feel like its really spring time? I have a feeling that we will have a short spring and go straight to summer.

I think we skipped right from Fall to Spring with a few Winter days thrown in to mess us up. Though Summer is well on the way. We've already turned the a/c back on at night.

We did have a nice breakfast outside today. There's a restaurant on the intracoastal, across from the beach. We sat outside watching the boats pull up to the restaurant while we enjoyed our meal. It was sunny, but there was still a nice breeze to make it really nice. It was one of those "THIS is why we live here" moments.

Usually once April hits we know it's close. We have lots of snow to melt though. Need some warmer weather. I think it may be 40 right now and that is great for 6:40pm. Mid April us usually when the ice goes out. Then it really feels like spring.

We splurged a little (rarely order take out) and got Chinese food for lunch.

And I finally got some edamame!!!! I was so excited, and my DS just loved them, he called them peas. Now I just need to find them at a grocery store so I can make them at home.

Ladies, I have a question. Working as a bank teller, I'm on my feet for the majority of the day. I normally wear Merrells. I'm at the point now where if I don't have a good quality shoe, I have severe pain in my feet at the end of the day. The only problem is, I buy one good pair, and they were out on me so quickly, since I wear them all the time. I'm wondering if there's anything that will last me longer than the Merrells? Has anyone had good luck with a particular brand of shoe that's very supportive? I'd love to hear some thoughts.

TarzansKat, sorry I wish I could help with the shoe question. It's almost impossible for me to find any pair of shoes that fit. Foot pain is miserable. I hope you find your solution.

I wish I could help you with this... But the only advice I have is maybe a good insert for extra arch support. Isn't there a new nurses thread on the CB? If there is you might want to ask them as well.

Foot pain IS miserable. And my feet are hurtin' at the end of the day again, so I know it's time for new shoes.

I've never tried an insert. Maybe I should look into that as well.

How about some Crocs?

There are actually some Crocs that are nicer looking, if you can wear them. Otherwise, I think the inserts would be helpful.
