Have a great evening ya'll. I'm out. I think I'm being attacked by my gallblader.

I'm sure from my posts, most of you have realized I'm not a dog person. But today I saw a dog that I'd love to adopt. He's at a local shelter, but DH says I'm nuts. Here's a link to him. You'll all see why I want him.

I think Disney should adopt him and have him ride around in their old fashioned fire truck during parades and special events!!

Does anyone remenber Minnie Moo, the cow?!

Oh man I hope not! I suffered from attacks a month after DS12 was born. I ended up having it taken out. I still have to watch what I eat (you can still have stones in the liver ducts) but it's been much, much better.

creativeamanda I am overwhelmed by your ADRs but they look good! :thumbsup2

Well I'm off, too. I'm fighting a cold and I just want to curl up on the couch with the afghan and watch TV (Ghost Hunters and Monster Quest tonight!)

.

don't pick her pick mine she'll be 16 in 2 months!!! :rotfl:

Look you all, throwing your children at me. :lmao:

I did think of Yachtsman--that would prob be a better choice than the Luau.

I haven't done the Luau in years, so I really can't say.

I've never thought of Citricos. How is it for kids?

I haven't reviewed it yet in my December trip report, but there is a review in my Pirates Life for Three one. In short, fantastic. It's one of the only restaurants where the waitstaff addresses my child like he's really part of the dinner, and you don't notice the lack of it until you have that kind of great service. In December, our waitress would ask how he liked things, directly to him. In September, she (different one) remembered his name, and used it. It's these little things, in addition to FANTASTIC food, that make this one of my top picks for signature dining. And to think I avoided it for so long thinking DS was too young!!! My bad. If you get an earlier reservation, sometimes, depending on party size, you can be seated by the windows, which have these great ledges, so if you bring some toys for the kiddo to play with, it sure helps. That, and depending on how long you're there, you may be able to see Wishes. It's wonderful. I'm a wee bit obsessed as you can see.

I'll also take a look at the menu for Flying Fish. . .I have one non-seafood eater, though. I know that Coral Reef will be fine for her, but I just haven't given the Flying Fish a second thought. . .

Thanks for the suggestions.

Not sure if Flying Fish is totally seafood, I thought there were some other options.

Oh, hon, I hope you feel better soon.

Thanks so much for your help, TK. I think I'll be replacing the Luau with Citricos. I had never really given it a thought, but I really like it when people pay attention to my kids (one of the reasons why I loved Coral Reef and Grand Floridian Cafe in October and the main reason why I almost passed by Crystal Palace).

:rotfl:

Mean Queen and I would like to hand her a couple of 9 yo girls. . .

:thumbsup2 Though I don't know if I'd do that to someone I liked and either am not related to or paying money to.

AI stunk again tonight. I may not watch much more of this season. When Normal Gentle is one of the most entertaining, you know things are bad.

I may have to try Citrico's sometime. I really liked Yachtsmans because while it was fancy and oh so yummy, it had some kid friendly stuff. My DD loved the paint your own dessert.

I have to agree about AI I was NOT impressed :sad2:

Good morning ya'll. :goodvibes

Thanks for the well wishes last night. :grouphug:
I have been having problems for months and have had several test. All have come back inconclusive. There have been a few gallbladder threads on the Dis lately and so many of those posters are talking about my symptoms. It makes me want to take my lap top to the Dr. and say.....SEE!!

Mornin' Smiley! Do you keep track of what you eat at all? I know for me, and I think in a lot of GB cases, high-fat foods will trigger an attack (because your GB is trying to send it's "stuff" to aid in digestion of all that fat, and the stones are in the way, thus the attack). For the week between my trip to the ER with the worst attack, and the day I had surgery, I ate rice, oatmeal, fruits/veggies, lean chicken breast and such. Not one attack the whole week. Since my surgery, if I'm not careful and eat too much fat in one day, I can still get a bit of the feeling I used to have before an attack. Then I know I've overdone it!! For me that tends to happen in the summer when we go out for fried seafood and ice cream....:headache: Not good. (but OH so yummy!!!!!!!!)

.

Good morning, all! Hope you all have a great pre-Friday!

As for me. . .

Heigh-Ho, Heigh-Ho, it's off to work I go! (At a maddening 7am to boot)

And I agree, AI stunk. Jasmine really disappointed me. I liked Alexis, but don't think she could find her way out of a telephone booth.

Wow. You're taking my suggestion?

I feel special. :goodvibes

Honestly, I think you'll love it. I really enjoy that individual attention to my child as well, and it just makes me feel like they recognize he's a person too.:thumbsup2

I haven't been to Yachtsmen with my son yet, but I bet he would love that dessert. Talking about all these signatures makes me want to upgrade to deluxe dining. :lmao:

That must be so frustrating! I hope you feel better.

Morning, everybody!

I'm off to get ready for work too! Everyone have a fantabulous Thursday. :goodvibes

creativeamanda and TarzansKat...I hope ya'll have fun today!! :goodvibes

LegoMom...(I hope you have fun today to!! :goodvibes :rotfl: ) I have somewhat been tracking my diet. I did have grits and some bacon for breakfast. For lunch I had a salad with mixed greens and shredded carrots with some sliced up turkey breast lunch meat with a low fat dressing. I didn't eat supper. I was in to much pain. The pain is centered under my breast. It is a pain/pressure feeling that goes through to my back. I will start to track things more diligently because I'm getting tired of this. One good thing has come from all of the test though. I had a colonoscopy (I was having all kinds of test because of different symptoms) and they found a polyp that was 3cm's and precancerous. So if I had waited until the recommended age of 50 to have this test there is no telling what might have happened. I do have family history of colon cancer though. So if any of you have a family history of this disease please do not wait until the recommended age to be checked.

Oh my goodness THAT is scary....

When I had attacks, I would mostly feel it across my back, just about at the bottom of the rib cage. I could relieve it somewhat by leaning forward. Your gallbladder does sit just under the breast area, though, so that whole part of you can be affected. Have they done any x-rays or scans to see if there are stones?? I don't remember what I had done but the guy at the ER that night knew from my symptoms what it probably was, and I did have some test to confirm it. A week later they yanked that puppy out!:thumbsup2

I had a CT in may. That was pretty inconclusive. But my symptoms have steadily gotten worse. I have to go back to the doctor next month to have some meds renewed. I'll go over everything again. Oh well...things will work out. I'm sure. :thumbsup2
I have to go grocery shopping today. I think I want to exchange grocery list with someone else. I need knew ideas. Most nights we are fortunate enough to be able to eat as a family. But on nights when everyone is scattered and eating at different times I like to have easy fix stuff on hand that is still somewhat healthy. I have been experimenting with cutting chicken up and throwing it into ziploc bags with different dressing to marinate. We then skewer it with veggies and throw it on the grill. Shish Kabobs have become a new favorite. :)
