[Mean Queen]

We now always stay at the Poly!! we tried other ones after our first stay at the Poly in 1993, and we just seem to like that one. Probably because we got married there, before they had the wedding pavillion thing!

I'd love to stay at the Poly sometime. We did a vow renewal last year at the pavillion and stayed at the GF. But normally, we stay DVC. I did just book my first stay at CBR for a girls trip in October. It's just one night, but it's one night without kids during the Food & Wine Festival!

Hey ya'll I'm in for a minute. Power has been off. We had an electrician here hooking up our generator. Finally got it hard wired to the house. We can at least have power down stairs. Power has a tendency to go out in thunderstorms so I'm happy to have it.

How was your last day? I'm so excited for you!! Guess what? You are going to WDW!!!

My generator isn't like yours. It is a portable 8000watt. But we had it hard wired into the house. And we were only able to put downstairs on it. We still have to go outside and pull a cord to get it started. It isn't an instant on. But close enough. I would love to have what you do.

I've been watching Ike very closely, too. As of this morning, they had three different scenarios as to what it might do...

Not helpful.

As of a short time ago, they now think it'll track more south, grazing southern FL. Not good news if it heads into the Gulf. Those people don't need another hit! But, regardless, I am not terribly afraid that it'll take dead-on aim at the Orlando area. Might be a tad windy and rainy come Wednesday, that's all!

Hmmm...I wonder if I can get the prize for the Most Smilies Used in a Post today (not counting repetitive smilies like a dozen dancing babnanas!)...

It's just started raining here. Schools in Horry County were closed today. Robeson COunty, NC schools got out early. And since I was home with a sick girl, I picked my kids up early from school. I think we are in for a long night.
