I'm actually starting to get excited about my kid-free trip next weekend. While I love going with the kids, I actually get to do what I want, when I want when I go without them. Well, what I and my friends want, but I generally am the planner.

Today is my first day going back to work since the services. I had a hard time with it yesterday, DH and I stayed up late talking about how I felt, and that was really comforting. He's one of the only people I can comfortably do that with, so I can't say I'm all sweetness and light now, but it certainly did make me feel better.

That dancing chicken helps, too.
