Was today better Amanda? I hope you were able to recover and have a good rest of Spring Break.

I'll just post my Facebook Status, becasue this was my day: I went to bed last night/this am at 1. I was up at 2, then 5. Then I slept until 2:40 this afternoon, which leads me to my FB status:

Day one of Spring Break: Rain
Day two of Spring Break: Food Poisoning
It can't get any worse, can it?

You could be me: Last Friday(3/26) my next door neighbor died(thankfully, we've been expecting it).

Sat. DD & I went on a trip to DC. The car started acting funny on the way to the pickup point. The bus was 30 min. late to the drop off point. DD & I had to do a 50 min. walk to the White House in 40 min. and got some bad directions. DD's name was on the list for the tour, mine wasn't. Rest of the day in DC was good.

Sunday the car REALLY started acting funny(it's a Saturn, a now defunct car company).

Monday the car died ON THE WAY TO THE DEALERSHIP to get checked out. It was the transmission AGAIN. Tuesday was the funeral and one of the Alpacas at the Alpaca farm we volunteer at died. I got a loaner car from the dealership. An H3 and I'm 5'1". Go ahead. Laugh. It is funny. :rotfl:

On Wednesday I got the news for the repair bill for the car. It was $5,000.00. GM will pay for half of the repair. OR I could get $5,000.00 for a new GM car.

Today my Dad, DD & I went out looking at Chevy's. He then took me to a Subaru dealership. I love Subarus. My parents are giving me $$$$ for a down payment. I could get a used 2006 Subaru with 30,000 miles on it(previously leased). The payments would be $210.00/month for 60 months. Tomorrow we'll go back to the Chevy dealership so they can run some numbers for us.

My Dad says he is worried about safety. The 2 Chevy's are the lowest priced ones. They are as much as the used Subaru. I'm leaning towards the Chevy's simply because I would have to cough up $2,500.00 for the repair of my Saturn and I don't have it. I would need to repair the Saturn to get the Subaru.

So, in short, be careful of asking: It can't get any worse, can it?

It was probably the nicest day ever here in MI and spent it in a wrist splint in pain swollen and nauseated. *needs shoulder*

PaMom, Hope your upcoming week is better.

 Oh no! Hope the pain goes away soon.

Thank you!!! I'm feeling a little better but now my thumb is going numb every so often like when your foot falls asleep. See how it does in another hour or so and then decide whether or not to call the DRs.

It never hurts to call and ask.

It is beautiful today FINALLY. Just got back from taking the dogs for a run in the woods. OMG TICK ON ME! Must go check for more.

Oh no, what happened?

Yesterday I went to a Chevy dealer and they guy who knows what is going on with me wasn't there. A nice guy did show us a Chevy Aveo and a Chevy Cobalt. Both of the cars were not given good reviews by Car & Driver and Consumer Reports. My dad liked niether cars.

We then went to a Subaru Dealer and looked at a 2006 Subaru Impreza. It had 30,000 miles on it. The lady, whom my dad bought a car from years ago, crunched some numbers. I would have ended up with a payment of $110.00/month for 60 months. I would have to cough up $2,500.00 plus tax for repairing the transmission on my Saturn and we would use it as a trade in.

This morning I woke up at 5 am. I got to thinking and crying, and thinking some more. If I were to get a Chevy I would get $5,000.00 and not have to repair the transmisson. Theeeennnnnnnn, I could take the Chevy down to the Subaru dealer and trade the Chevy in for the Subaru Impreza.

Well, today we(both of my parents and myself) went to the Chevy dealer and the guy who knows my story was there. He crunched some numbers and an almost $19,000.00 Chevy Cobalt would be $8,000.00-9,000.00. We then went to the Subaru dealer.

I told the story to the Subaru dealer. She liked it. Driving the Cobalt off of the lot would immediately drop its value by $8,000.00. :scared1: A 2006 Subaru Impreza is worth $10,500.00. A 2008 or 2009 Chevy Cobalt is worth the same amount as the Subaru!! :confused3 I'm ending up getting the Cobalt and then going to Subaru and getting a 2010 Forester. The monthly payment will be $190.00/month for 72 months. :woohoo:

Sounds like you are getting a great deal on a new car! Glad your luck is turning around.

I was putting conduit in a church basement and was using a screwdriver and I had to put a lot of pressure on the screwdriver in order to turn it. I put a little too much pressure on the screwdriver and as a result I lost my strength and my wrist jerked downwards sharply. In short, sprained my wrist and thought it would get better over the time of a week. Nope, it got worse and swollen. Went to the doctor yesterday, they took an X-Ray and presumed it sprained and told me to ice it and come back in a week. Got up today and my thumb is numb.

Such a bad way to start Easter weekend and on top of it all, I have to play on Sunday for Easter
(I play flute) and I still haven't been tagged and about 3 people on the forum I was on asking for tag wishes got tagged. The TF missed me again :(

So, if you were planning a two night/3 day trip to the World for you and your 2 best friends, what would be on your to-do list? We will be staying at Animal Kingdom Villas. I keep making more and more plans, but I know we don't have the time to do it all. My ideas so far: Key to the World tour, Wishes Dessert buffet, Blue Zoo, Narcoossees and of course time in the parks. I'd love to hear other ideas and opinions.

Well if I went to Disney often, I would probably want to do some of the extra/different things that I don't normally do. Of course that depends on how often your friends go too. The Wishes Dessert Buffet is a great idea and if we all had the extra $, I would look into segway tour or extras at Animal Kingdom. Wow, Animal Kingdom Villas, I would LOVE that.

PaMom, I'm on my 2nd Subaru Legacy Wagon. I love that they have AWD. I obviously need room for 2 BIG dogs so a wagon is perfect for me. Mine has 172,000 miles now. I know someone I can buy a Forester off from for $2,000. It is newer, in better shape than my wagon and has less miles. Unfortunately it is too small for me, but I'm going to deal with it for now and give the beat up Legacy to my daughter. After all, she is the one that added a handful of dents.

With your sprained wrist, will you be able to play?
