So I get an e-mail from DH a while ago.

He's at work.

The e-mail is being forwarded from a co-worker, who mass-mailed everyone in the plant. Seems she found a litter of puppies on the side of the road near her house recently (keep in mind we live in the woods; it's very rural). She's got them in a kennel in her basement but can't keep them, can anyone help? No room at the inn for any area rescue groups or shelters. The dog pound will take them....for five days!!

Now, my DH is a smart man. He knows we're trying to sell our house. He knows this is THE worst possible time to be taking on another animal, let alone a puppy (we've had adult dogs before but I was never thrilled with having to deal with a puppy).

So what does he do? Sends a picture!!!!!!!!! OMG if I could post it here I would...you've never seen such CUTE faces! If my kids see this it's all over...

Anyone else having problems with the board right now? When I try and post I get the error that the message is too short. How can that be when I've seen post with just one or two smileys?

Anywho ... I was trying to respond to Smiley's post about her new MaryJane Crocs. I think crocs are cute!! I have a pair, but they aren't real ones. They're actually Sketchers brand in black.

Disney is why I bought them. I even bought Mickey and Minnie jibitz for them. You know I even joined a thread once upon a time promising that I WOULD NEVER own a pair of those UGLY SHOES!! But the mary janes are kinda cute. (that wasn't me... I didn't say that!! That was the evil me. and evil me wears crocs!! )

It's good. There are 6 girls in my catagory. 4 of them, it's their first pageant so they're just learning and the other girl is pretty much my competition. But I can't wait for the party, it's going to be so much fun!

And awe what cute puppies.

I bought DD a pair of the pink Disney ones, but I just can not wear them myself. I have no need to make my feet look bigger than they already are. The Mary Janes can be cute on smaller feet though. I consider Crocs todays jelly shoes, and I refused to wear jelly shoes.

How odd! I just got the same email from someone around here with the exact same picture of those dogs. It even had a phone number to call if we wanted the dogs, but I thought it was odd the number was missing the area code. I guess it's a fake. Though, even as a non-dog lover, I was tempted by those cuties.

Wow, that's weird! Do you still have the e-mail?...if so who is the original sender? There's no phone number on mine, just an e-mail (and I don't know anyone at my DH's work so I don't know if it's someone there or "elsewhere!")

of the road on Saturday. PLEASE help me find them homes -

otherwise, it's Animal Control - which means they only have

5 days. We've bathed them, sprayed them for fleas and wormed

them....but we can't keep them. They are currently in a

kennel in my basement since I don't have a fence. I've lost count

of the number of rescue groups that I've contacted, only to be

turned down due to no room. Please check with every dog

person you know to see if they need a puppy.

It was real many forwards ago, but the names keep changing and the pups have long since been adopted.

That's weird! I have the last paragraph that you do, telling the story, but no phone numbers, totally different names, etc.. But apparently as you said here, it's been forwarded so many times that all that's different! Just as well...My DH was about ready to go get one!
