No fireworks of any kind for me. I was playing the computer game I'm horribly addicted to.

They need a 12-step program for geekdom.

What game are you addicted to? I have many video game addictions, the only way to get rid of one addiction is to find another. Right now, I'm addicted to Webkinz and the Wii. Despite how it sounds, I am not a teenage boy. :rotfl:

Please tell me about webkinz. I keep hearing about it. But have no idea what it is.

With Webkinz you buy a stuffed animal in the regular stores that comes with a code. You enter this code onto the Webkinz site and you then get a virtual version of the stuffed animal you bought to play with. You get a home, you can buy clothes, furniture and games for your Webkinz. You earn Kinz cash by playing games. Your Webkinz can make friends with other webkinz and visit each others homes. But since it is for kids, there is a set group of sayings to use to avoid any inappropriate activity. It is meant for kids, but a lot of parents I know play to get their kids kinz cash. At least, that's the excuse they give. I got my own webkinz so I could play with my daughter. And that's the excuse I'm sticking to. :rolleyes1 Right now, the webkinz are in short demand, kind of like the beanie baby craze of a few years ago.

I'm 26, I own my own home, I work 50+ hours a week. The rest of my spare time is spent playing EverQuest ( www.everquest.com ). It's a massive online world (fantasy-based) where you get to do just about anything you want, from battling orcs and dragons to making jewelry and baking. I've been playing for just over 6 years, and it just keeps getting bigger and better as they add more content.

I've heard lots of good things about Everquest. Though I will never try it. I know I'd get addicted and my family would be ignored even more than they are. My teenage boy comment was just because few people expect a 35 year old mom of 2 to be as into video games as I am. I am a techno geek and proud of it! :surfweb:

Congratulations on being 26 and owning your own home!! My oldest is 23 and he just moved into his first apartment. With the market being what it is right now we are encouraging him to look into buying when this lease is up. He could buy for what he is paying in rent!!

Ahhhh... another EverCrack addict! :thumbsup2 I played EQ for a bunch of years, but left for EQ2 (which to me, is just an amazing, gorgeous game.) I tried a few months ago to go back to EQ for nostalgic reasons, but everything was dead. :( And downright primitive compared to EQ2, so I'm back there now. :) What server do you play on?

Oh nooooo, I'm lost. I just can't compete with game addictions. If ya'll start talking about these games. Just pretend I know all about them to. And don't leave me out of the conversation!!

Probably 90% of my guild (a group of people who work together in the game to acheive goals not reachable without 30-50 of your friends) are parents, grandparents, etc. There is actually one family where the grandparents, adult parents, and teenage grandkids all are in our guild, and they use it to spend time together since the kids are in private school away from home, and the grandparents live in another state.

I don't make much, so all I could afford was a manufactured home. That being said for 1100 square feet I pay under $700 (lot rent included). My old 700 square foot 2-bedroom apartment was $785, and it wasn't in a very good area.

The EQ1 population is very top-heavy. I have, however, noticed quite a few newbies come in to the game since the release of the new Anniversary boxed set ($20 for all 13 expansions). I play on Maelin Starpyre (formerly Vazaelle).

*Pssst* The tag fairy has been busy on the Do you have any odd habits thread. That's where I got my tag. :thumbsup2

I'm off to try and get me a tag!!!

Good luck!! As soon as I got there my brain froze!! That's right...like a solid block of ice!!

When I got there, I realized that everyone else was much funnier than I was. So I just posted and got the heck out of there. Hopefully, it was funny enough to get the tag fairy's attention.

Please keep us posted. I feel like we are on a tag watch!!

Well, yeah, it was funny. But it didn't require any effort to be funny!
