I've spent the last hour or so pricing out our trip in September. Gotta hope for free dining again or it's going to be an abbreviated version! Prices have gone up, of course, since our last trip in '06, and plus we've now got three "adults" instead of two.

I wonder if DH really thought about the cost when he told me to go ahead and book....

The Arctic is a great way to describe it.

I have to buy bags of salt for the trunk. My car is RWD- which I'm not used to -and fishtails on the ice/snow a little too much for me.

Ok, since I mentioned selling our house a few posts ago, I just thought I'd mention that it's been SIX weeks since the people who picked us as their 2nd choice, made their low-ball offer on the foreclosure....and the bank still has not made a decision to accept it or not!!!! This wouldn't matter one way or the other to me except that if they don't get that place, then their next offer comes to us. So, I'm waiting as anxiously as I'm sure they are for this to end! WHY would a bank take so long to make such a decision?! I mean for crying out loud, they are facing foreclosure on a property - take what you can get and get out from under it! I don't think these poor buyers had any idea what they were in for. When we were informed we were their 2nd potential offer, they said they were hoping for an end-of-December time frame for moving!!

Yikes.

Not a thing....can you believe it?! I'm getting annoyed and it really doesn't even involve me! (but then again, I guess I have a tendency towards that sort of thing... just look at my first tag! ) All I can say is that I would be pretty PO'd if I were the buyers in this situation! They had hoped to move before the new year. Not even close! On the other hand, if they really, really needed that time frame, they shouldn't have bid on a short-sale in the first place!!

Well I'm sure glad to see your post, anyway! I was beginning to think I was the only around still posting in here. So, we're about to have a good old January thaw - in the 50s by Tuesday! What's your weather doing these days? Do you have snow at all??

Hellllllloooooo allll!* And a Happy New Years to you.* We just got back from our trip to Disney's Hilton Head resort.* It was so much fun and so relaxing.* It got cold, but no snow.* We had temps in the teens.* Good thing the villa came with a fireplace.* The first day we got there, it was still somewhat warm so the kids swam.* The resort has so many cool activities.* We made Mickey tie-dye t-shirts and fleece Disney pillows.* The kids went to a New Year's Eve party while the adults partied it up in the villa.** Then they had a ball drop by the pool for everyone.* I'd love to say it's great to be home but they are remodeling our bathroom and plumbing.* So now we have one semi-working bathroom and no clothes washer!* Good thing I did some laundry before leaving the resort.* We also came home to a bed full of cat poop and pee.* I think the people doing the remodeling locked the cats in our room one day.* They went on our bed, my clean towels on the floor, and my webcam.

Last week we got a few inches and it's just now starting to melt. We're expecting 50 degree temps this weekend.

Yeah, for some reason I'm no longer in the mood for pancakes.

We're taking down all our Christmas decorations, including the tree. For most of the day we'll just hang out around the house since we've been gone so long. We will need to make quick trips out for food, since we haven't grocery shopped since getting back. Man, I miss being on vacation already.
