Pretty good. How about yours? Guess what I bought today? Go ahead... I'll wait.

NOT... I can't wait.

I got my tickets for Mickey's Not So Scarey Halloween Party!!!

Ohhh, good for you! I have always wanted to do that. We did the Christmas Party one year sand I loved it.

I forgot to answer SadieDog about Indiana Jones. Then our power went out. Now it is out again but I am on laptop with battery.

The movie was okay. I think the ending before the ending could have been done better, if that makes sense. I think Harrison Ford looks amazingly good for his age. If you're an Indy fan you should see it, but don't expect it to be a total thrill. The stunts were great, I have to give them that.

Count me in as liking both classic rock and country. :rockband:

Mary

Yes, I am an Indy fan. I will see it when it comes to DVD. Thanks, I now know not to expect too much and just enjoy it for what it is. Wow, there are so many movies I have not seen yet. The only Oscar nominated movie I saw was Sweeney Todd.

Good morning!! I'm sure your DD will have a wonderful time on her field trip. What are some of the things she will be doing?

She went to Middleton Plantation and come home with a big blister on her foot. But she said it was great to walk that much. . .it will prepare her for Disney in October. :thumbsup2

Hi everybody! :surfweb:

Has anyone seen the movie 'I Am Legend' with Will Smith? I rented it over the weekend and loved it!! Watched it twice and can't wait to buy it on DVD. Will Smith is hot!
::yes::

I loved, loved, loved I am Legend. (WIll Smith is one of my favorite actors.)

When American Idol is not on, I catch up on NCIS.

Nashville star sounds a bit scary.:rotfl2: The name sounds like it may be focused on Country music which is not my cup of tea. I would rather watch MTV.:lmao:

I like country music, but I don't watch Nashville Star. I watched it once and it seemed awful corny to me. I probably won't watch too much TV for a while.

What is wrong with me....

that I am AS excited about all the places we're going to eat at Walt Disney World, as I am in just plain going there in the first place...?! I mean, our ADRs are some of the highlights of our trip!!...

:woohoo:

.

Shhh. . .don't tell anyone. . .but the ADRs are part of the highlight for me. I've lost 50 pounds over the last year, and I am looking forward to eating what I want for a week.

Oh my gosh. Don't you hate it when you just don't know they are sick? I always worry that DSS will be called or something like that. You never know anymore.

Yep. . .it worries me, as well.

My thoughts had a whole lot more information in them than the post did. Let me say it this way... My youngest son has nerve deafness in one ear. Slight, but the problem was that he did not run a fever with infections nor did he feel them. So for yearly check ups he would have scar tissue. And the doctor would say, "Why did you not bring him in for that?" I would say, "I didn't know he had one." He would just stare at me. Next time, same thing. I thought they would call DSS on me. 3 years later, they did more testing and diagnosed him with nerve deafness. Ok... now they get it.

My dd9 hardly ever had pain with ear infections nor did she run a temp. The docs always found it hard to believe, but she just had a high tolerance for pain.

Here's a quick trip report with pictures.

I already told you all about Saturday. Checked into VWL, had a bit of a problem with our dining plan. Finally, we went to DHS. Rode Toy Story Mania once, then had lunch at Hollywood and Vine.
Here's the better from afar character meal at Hollywood and Vine.

On Sunday, we had a great time at DHS this time with friends. The fast passes were up for TSM, so we grabbed one, waited in line, grabbed another, used our first fast pass, played at the Honey I Shrunk the Kids playground, had lunch, then used our second fast pass. :thumbsup2 We tried to get DD to ride RRC, but that didn't work. After watching some street performers, we grabbed a spot and some popcorn for the Block Party Bash.

We had dinner planned for Epcot, so we jumped on a boat to head over. The boat ride was horrible. The windows wouldn't open and the a/c wasn't working. We ended up getting off at Y&BC and walking. Our friends drove and made it much quicker.

Innoventions has a new area where kids can make a velcro frog to take (instead of the robots, but not the same area.) Since it was late, we were limited in what we could ride (fast passes were all gone.) We rode Figment then had fun in the play area. It was almost time for dinner so we went to check in. We were early, so DH waited inside while I hit the Kidcot stop with DD's. I love technology. He was able to text me when our table was ready. :rotfl2: Food was great, the terrible 2-year old company not so much. Even 2 Blue Glowtini's didn't make it bearable. ;) I grabbed dessert to go and met DH over at Off Kilter. DD2 was in a much better mood dancing. We realized it was getting late so we went to hit Spaceship Earth before leaving. Once we saw it was 8:45, we booked it out and were just about the only ones on the bus. :cool1: I thoroughly enjoyed the jacuzzi tub after all that walking. :worship:

A video of our dancin' fools.

On Monday, we hit the quiet pool and checked out just before 11. We went to DTD to shop, have lunch at Wolfgang Pucks, and let the kids go on the rides.

We went shopping at WOD. We let DD8 walk around by herself in the Princess room. But she got lost and got scared. I think I was walking right behind her trying to find her as she was trying to find us. I guess she gave up before finding DH who was standing in one spot with DD2. She went to the BBB and asked a CM for help. She was so upset when DH found her. We told her she did the right thing and we were proud of her. After a great sundae at Ghirardelli's (and a quick stop at Basin for me), we headed home.

I can't imagine the week long trips you all take. A long weekend is exhausting enough!

Thanks for the pics and video Mean Queen. They are great.

I didn't know a person could sleep that much! She had been sick on Wednesday and I stayed home with her. On Thursday, she did not have a temperature and although she told me he throat was still itchy, I sent her to school because she was taking the Palmetto Achievement Challenge Test. They called me at lunch to come pick her up. When I took her to the doctor, I felt horrible--I was such a bad mom for sending her to school on Thursday, but she didn't have a temp that morning! I thought she just had a cold.

I got you beat dearie. Three years ago this month, the Wed. after Mom's Day my DD, then 8, fell out of bed when she went to turn out the lamp on her nightstand. It was about 8:50. She screamed and cried; I went like a bullet upstairs. I saw no blood and felt all along her arm. She could move her fingers, her arm up & down, and bend her elbow a little. She stopped crying after 3-4 minutes.

After 1/2 hour her elbow still hurt. I told her that we would go to the ER that is close by, about 1 mile. If it wasn't open we would not go across the river to another hospital because I didn't want to wait 3-4 hours. Wellll, the ER closed at 8:00 pm. It now was 9:30 pm. Back home we go.

She spent the night with me with ice on her elbow and her forearm proped up. The next day she went to school and I went to work. I called the Dr. and made an appt. I picked her up at school, her elbow was the size of a grapefruit and it was only 3 hours or so since I saw her.

All said and done, she had fractured the very tip of her humerous. This is the long and strong bone in the upper arm. I heard from a friend of mine who is a Physical Therapist with two very active boys who visit ER's regularly that bruises and breaks from elbow to fingertips and knees to toes are typical kid injuries. Breaks and bruises from shoulder to elbow and hip to knee typically signify abuse. They are very difficult to break.

When we were at the last place to get her arm in a cast, really a 1/2 cast with an ace bandage wrapped around, I started crying. I was terrified Childern & Youth would be there since I waited like 15 hours for medical care. The Dr. asked what was wrong and I told him that I felt so guilty for waiting so long. He put his arm around me and told me that they would worry if I wasn't feeling bad.

Have the Mushroom Filet with the mushroom risotto. It is like biting into velvet it's so tender. The cheddar cheese soup is amazing too. It is our favorite place to eat, though the Yachtsman has become a close second.

Then I am doing ok. My 1st night there it is Yachtsman and the last meal of the week is Le Cellier! So I ended up with your favorite. I wrote Mushroom Filet on my notes!

Funny it just got picked up a few hours ago. It was a disgusting mound of garbage sitting there for days. Animals had ripped open bags and started taking rotten food out. It was so gross; the smell made me gag. I came home and called my brother's realtor b/c I couldn't take it anymore. He made a phone call and got it taken care of. There is only big stuff left and he said he would be back tomorrow.

The neti pot is a wonderful thing. It helped tremendously. :thumbsup2

I am happy to hear that all seems to be going better today! Both the icky, smelly trash, and your sinus!

Woohoo! I am now all excited! I haven't gone to any of those places really. Last time we went we were staying offsite and my aunt pinches pennys so tightly I don't think we even got a snack at Disney. Not this time. Food is part of the journey. :thumbsup2

Your family is absolutely adorable! Thanks for sharing your weekend with us!

I have yet to play Nintendogs, but I do get hooked on Nintendo games. I've been playing DD's Animal Crossing for a while. I may go do that now!

That is so horrible! Not that you waited, but that you had to feel that way and deal with that fear of possibly losing your child over it. Scarey!

I am very much into Wii right now...my all time favorite? LUXOR which I have been playing like everytime the kids walk out of the room I change the channel and turn it on. They come back in and I am like a little kid..,"Just one more minute...as soon as I die I will turn it off." :rotfl: :rotfl:

GOOD MORNING!!

How is everyone today?

Well, hurricane tracking maps go in the stores today.:scared1:

Mean Queen, I loved the report and pictures of your family. Your daughters are beautiful. :goodvibes

GOOD MORNING!!

How is everyone today?

Well, hurricane tracking maps go in the stores today.:scared1:

Woo hoo! I remember those. We were in Wilmington, NC for Bonnie and Bertha, and happened to ride out Jeanne while staying in Madeira Beach, FL! We had a couple other close calls in NC, so the running joke in the family was NOT to invite us down during hurricane season...:rotfl:

(ok, you're right...this new smiley placement is really messing me up!)

Can't linger this morning but wanted to say hi!
