Dang.

Is it okay to be on page two?

I swear I have a good reason. I have ribs the crockpot (have been dying to do this for ages) and I totally forgot I was supposed to make a side dish! :lmao: Silly me. So now I have some glazed carrots and sweet potatoes a-bakin' in the oven.

But without further ado, I LOVE OUR NEW HOME!!!

It's BABNANA TIME!!!

:banana::banana::banana::banana::banana:

The kids are in school and LegoDad was job hunting the last I talked to her. I hope they find something soon! Should we PM her the link to our new home? She was already feeling a bit behind since she has no internet.

I've already sent it. :goodvibes

She must be feeling over whelmed. I have been so out of schedule the last few weeks. I'm so ready for things to be that setting on the dryer again. :rotfl:

Someone stole one fourwheeler and attempted to steel a second one last week, They actually had the second one out of the yard and around the corner. For some reason it stopped so they left it. We filed a Police report. And believe it or not it was located 24 hours later 25 miles from here parked in some woods. They had done about $800.00 worth of damage to it. Its in the shop now. But we just can't believe it was recovered. Talk about a shock. Both were hot wired. What really makes me want to kick myself is.... there was a man that came to my house the morning before saying he was with the Census Bureau. He rang the door bell and by time I got to the door he was out by his truck. He didn't come back to the door and ask me any questions. He just said he was with the Census Bureau and wanted to let me know he was on my property. I thought the whole thing was odd. But I let it go. We think he was looking our place over to see what he could steal. Even the Police didn't know of any Census workers in the area. So all of you beware of this. If a Census worker comes to your door. Check their idenity and they are there to ask you questions about how many people live in your home. They should not be walking around your property. If something seems off to you call the Police and report it.

Wow, I'm sorry that happened to you! And shocked that was recovered. Thank goodness you're all alright, the thought of someone lurking around makes me nervous!

Oh, I'd love to share. I hope they're good. I was worried that the honey bbq sauce I used wouldn't be sweet enough, so I also threw some dark brown sugar on top.

And then we have a glaze on the vegetables.

It's a good thing no one in this house is diabetic.

How did you glaze your veggies?

How did you glaze your veggies?

I basically took a chunk of margarine...maybe half a stick? Melted it, added a bit of cinnamon, ginger, cloves, and nutmeg, and threw in some brown sugar. I'm sorry, I totally didn't measure anything. I just sort of guesstimated. I think maybe I have 1/3 cup of brown sugar in there.:lmao: So I melted that together on the stove, and then tossed the veggies with it, and now they're in a 350 degree oven. The recipe I loosely followed said for 45 minutes, so we'll see. That was for a 9 x 13 pan, and I used a 9 x 9 so maybe it will take less time.

I'm sorry, that was a very long, convoluted answer to a simple question.

Smiley, sorry about your 4-wheeler being taken, but glad it was found. What a strange feeling to know you were probably talking with the person who was scoping your place out. Scary thought.

I'm trying to kill time before Idol. We had an early supper and I did enough vacuuming so I don't feel like cleaning any more. Can't take the dogs out b/c it's pouring. I'm ready to see Lil go home.

Thanks TK and SadieDog. You know, it was just material things. But is sure caused us a tremendous amount of anxiety. Knowing someone was in the yard was not a good feeling. It made us realize how vulnerable we are out here. Lets just say we have now taken certain measures to ensure our safety if anyone ever broke into the house. :thumbsup2 We just have 3 patrolling officers for a very large area out here. And if our wonderful Governor has his way, that number could be reduced. :sad2:

SadieDog...what did you think about the race Saturday night? We just cought bits and pieces and them watched the last 28 laps. Way to go Mark Martin!!! :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

I liked your long convoluted answer. :goodvibes That sounds yummy. You'll have to give us a review.

I think that the race was on too late. :rotfl2: I fell asleep. I woke up to hear Mark Martin won and I was very happy for him.

You can have a few of our police officers. It has been thought by the majority over the years that our small town has more officers/new vehicles than needed.

I'm here.

Where I grew up we had no police force. We had to call the State Police.
