Anyone have any good plans for Mother's day? We're going to meet my MIL at the Melting Pot in Sarasota. Though she had originally asked me to make reservations up here. Now I have to cancel mine.

DH has gotten an obsession with getting a pool. We can in no way afford it. We're already swimming in debt from our DVC memberships. We don't need to drown in it from a pool. But he is dead set on it and plans to find a way. I asked if he would do it on his own if I refused and he said yes.

Well, we had ball games all night. I am hopelessly behind on all of the banter here and haven't even updated my PTR in ages. It seems like I would--it'll be 45 days on Saturday, but I don't know that I have the energy. I yelled myself hoarse tonight with the games. My youngest two lost, of course. The other team has been together for three years and all of our players started just this year. Sweetie's team won by one run. She has really made a lot of progress with softball this year--I am glad. Hand-eye coordination has never been a strong suit for her and this has worked wonders for her. I wish my mother had made me do something like this when I was her age.

I'm watching Michael J. Fox's show. It's so sad to see him with Parkinson's. Plus his show is focusing on people with great optimism despite bad circumstances. A real tear jerker.

No kidding, huh?!! You try to be so good, then come in here innocently enough just to banter with your friends, and the next thing you know you're raiding your pantry to see what manner of delectable sweetness is hiding within...... I'm trying to lose weight for an upcoming event and you people are not helping!!!!!!!!!!!!!!



So, Mean Queen - the answer to your pool problem is to tell DH you need to move to a housing community that has a pool. We have one and it is fantastic!!....all the benefits without any of the work or expense! Or, you could sell your place and move into one of these little gems that have the screened lanai/pool right off the back of the house....
Seriously, though, I hope you can knock some sense into him. This is hardly the time to be going deeper into debt! Tell him you have the DVC memberships, and you can use those pools when you go, and that'll just have to do for now!

DO - glad you had a good time in Vegas! Looking forward to hearing more about it when you can. Do you have pics?!

TK - Hmm.....give birth or get a tattoo...... "I'll take 'Get a Tattoo' for $1,000 please, Alex"..... Sorry, but if I had to do one or the other, the tattoo wins, hands down!!! Actually, I almost got one last summer....a little simple Mickey head on my upper arm at the shoulder.

DD & I have the day off of school. I took DD & a friend of hers to an alpaca farm. While we were at the farm I found out that another friend of theirs is PREGNANT AT 13. All of them are in 7th grade. Good Lordy. I know when I was in school a friend of mine, we were in the same age although she was a grade behind me due to being held back, was pregnant when she was 13 in 7th(me being in 8th). I mean, a baby is having a baby.

Ladies, I'd just like to call your attention to A NEW TICKER IN MY SIGGIE!!!!!! It's all very tentative at the moment, but I'm being all sorts of optimistic because BF (at HIS suggestion!!!) and I may be going to Disney in August!

I have a babysitter for tonight. Going out with friends to dinner then a double movie of Star Trek in IMAX and Wolverine (again.) But first, it's a day of nothing much. DH has to attend a work event. So the girls and I are sitting around watching TV. I may make waffles in my new waffle maker.

Love the Cowtipping, you're doing it wrong and the plumbob ones. I haven't played Sims in so long. All the expansion packs became too much for my computer. I did want to try it on my laptop, but I know it's not supposed to run great on one.
