Good morning ya'll.:goodvibes Sorry I have been MIA lately. Still working on this mess. I want it cleared up before we get into the holidays. Especially that one holiday that we all love so much......Tax time. I really have to make time to start putting my trees up. I like to get that going right after Halloween.

:grouphug: I hope you all have a great day!!

Embarrassed to say the shredded cardboard is still there. :rotfl2:

My town didn't get the snow but we have been 'enjoying' below average temps. It's in the 30's at night. The last couple days have been warmer though.

Buicks are lazy beasts. Every morning they wait outside my sons bedroom door. They look at the door, look at me, look back at the door and so on while wagging their tails. They are asking to go sleep on his bed. :lmao: I fix the dog blanket on top of his bed and let them in. Before I go to work, they come out and I shut the door. We take them for a walk everyday, but they are missing their run in the woods. I'll will be glad when hunting season is over and so will they.

Don't feel too badly, that happens to me frequently and I don't even have the excuse of working with a bunch of little kids!! (does one almost-a-teen count?!!) Some days, you just don't care what the house looks like, kwim?

.

This has been a crazy week--homecoming. Thankfully tomorrow is a teacher workday so the kids will have their craziness at home or for many, in my office and classroom getting ready for the game. I have meetings all afternoon and cheerleading practice today. I think I'll rest up for this weekend--Stinky's last regular season football game is Saturday.

ICK meetings for hours. Without football, that should free up your schedule a little. Good luck with Homecoming.

OK, it's almost 8pm and I am about to finally pick up the shredded cardboard. How pathetic is that? I'll go get it done before Survivor.
My house is looking rather neglected.

....reminds me of the Everyone Loves Raymond episode when neither Debra nor Ray wanted to bring the luggage upstairs after a trip, and the luggage stayed at the landing of the staircase....then he put cheese in the pocket of it before he went on a business trip....:rotfl2:

:rotfl: Yes, I remember that episode. :rotfl:

Good Friday morning to you all. :)

This is completely wrong. . .

LOL! Love basement cat. I was shopping for halloween costumes tonight and I tried a Joker mask on. My friend took a picture. I will post it if she ever gets me a copy. Pretty funny to see the Joker wearing a Tinkerbell shirt and capris.

I have a question for the teachers in this group. My DD10 came home with a D+ on her mid-term progress report in spelling. This child is great in spelling so I freaked. DH set a conference with her teacher to figure out what was going on. Turns out, she got all A's on her tests but forgot to turn in 2 homework assignments. Yep, 2 took her from an A to a D+. DH says the other teacher in the conference looked a bit shocked at that. The spelling teacher says she puts extra emphasis on homework because that shows the child is really learning. Um, wouldn't the A's on the test show she learned it? We're not sure if we should talk to the Principal about this or not. DD does need to remember her homework, but I think that drop is excessive. As teachers, what do you think? As parents, what would you do?

MeanQueen--I would ask for another copy of her grading scale. Then I would take that scale to the principal and ask her/him if that matches the grading scale previously turned in to him.

This is something that has to go directly to a principal because it affects every child in the class. Homework should in no way have that much weight on a grade--no enough to lower the grade by 3 letter grades!

Good morning. It's pouring here and my head is killing me.

Mean Queen, homework should not have that much weight on her final grade. That's ridiculous.

Good morning ya'll. :goodvibes Can't seem to decide if it wants to rain here or not. But it is really humid.

Mean Queen....I agree. You should persue this. :thumbsup2

Where did my cool weather go? It's back up into the high 80's. I'd like to at least be able to turn my AC off. DD10 has a halloween party to go to today. It's a sleepover. Not sure what we'll do with kid #2. We're having a Halloween party on Halloween, so I probably should get ready for that. Anyone doing anything fun this weekend?

Not doing anything fun. In fact, I can barely function right now. The throbbing pain is almost too much to take at times. It's making me sick to my stomach. I need to try to get in for OMT next week. I'm going to try to eat some pancakes now then breathe in some steam. My husband tried massaging my neck/shoulder area, but that was actually painful too. It may be better if I just chopped off my head.
