Tagging?

I have seen this mentioned a few threads now and was wondering what Tagging is.
It seems like it is a big deal to some people, so what is it all about?

The writing under peoples user name is often added by the tag fairy. If this is the case its in colour - if you add it yourself it can only be in the default colour.

The tag fairy appears every now and again and tags people using phrases from their posts - usually ones that sound silly out of context.

I have 3 tags as I was given the picture by the tag fairy as a birthday present

I thought the 'Tags' were what people wrote about themselves and wondered how they got them in colour!!!

That's what I thought too, the tags are usually funny and I thought everyone was being very inventive in what they said about themselves.

I think the Tag Fairy is very astute. People's tags seem to weirdly sum them up in a round about way. I think mine reflect how indecisive I am, my lack of shame and my tendency to complain...

I love the tag fairy.

The T F can be very mischevious though - one night on the DLP board tags were appearing faster then we could read them but then kept changing colour and sometimes even disappearing.
It was great fun (we are easily pleased )

If you ask for a tag though you wont get one

That was an exciting night. I did feel a bit sorry for Emma though - proof that you need to be careful when the tag fairy is lurking.

Wow I never knew about this, now I do some of the more random tags make much more sense
