Tag Jr. or Tag for 3 y/o?

I bought my DD the Tag Jr., but did I make a mistake by not buying the Tag? Which one did you buy for your 3 y/o?

My DD has the Tag and the Leapster 2 both of which she loves. She cant read yet, but she really enjoys the Tag reader. She plays the games and like to have the book read to her since she was little. I dont know about the Tag Jr. though. She really got into the Leapster last year when she was about 4

honestly I'd exchange it for the tag. you can use the jr. books with the tag but not the other way around.

We have both the Tag and Tag Jr and DD4 enjoys playing wiht both of them. However, DD5 doesn't use the Tag Jr one. The Jr version is nice for little hands.

I have to agree to take back the tag junior. We have both as well and my 3 yr old prefers to play with the regular tag. The tag junior is hard for his little hands to hold onto because it's so big and bulky. He also prefers the regular tag books vs the tag junior books, which the tag junior doesn't work with. I actually just bought him a regular tag for xmas because he's always wanting to use his sisters, which causes fights. I wish I hadn't spent the money on the tag junior and just bought him the regular tag to begin with.

FYI-if you don't want to buy the whole system, check your local library. Mine has the Tag and you can check it out and the books for 1 week at a time for free. Just got it today for the kids to see how they like it. I'm pretty impressed. Not sure if I'll buy my own, but I'll definitely borrow it again.

I agree-take bake the Jr. There are not stories in the Jr. Books-just a word on a page. My DD was almost 3 last year and I gave her a Jr.-she refused to use it. That was also because her big sister got a Tag. Needless to say, I had to get my younger DD a Tag to replace it!!!
