We are planning at least 3 sit down service dinners inside the world, and splitting the cost between a few families. Would it be benificial for us to get this card?

Are you eligible to get it? Somebody in your party has to be an AP holder, FL resident or DVC owner to be able to buy it.

If you are eligible and you'll have a large group eating at least 3 TS meals together then I do think it'll likely pay for itself. Add up the most likely cost of the meals and if it comes to $350 before tax and tip (if the eligible person is an AP holder otherwise I think it's around $467) then buy it. If there are 10 of you (and I suspect there are if there are 3 families) then that can happen pretty easily. Just one character breakfast at $26pp comes to $260 for 10 people.

You will have to get 1 bill for all families though generally you can pay with multiple credit cards and specify how much to charge to each one.

Here is a working example, using $100.00 as the original bill to make the math show up easily. Note this is for Table Service. At Counter Service there is no gratuity added.

*80.00 - Subtotal
*18.00 - Gratuity Added based on $100
**5.20 - Sales Tax on $80
103.20 - Final amount charged, takes into consideration discount, gratuity and tax.

Without TiW Discount (and still figuring 18% Gratuity)

100.00 - Original Menu Amount
*18.00 - Gratuity
**6.50 - Sales Tax on $100
124.50 - Total

$21.30 - Savings using TiW Card.

(Note - At Victoria and Albert's the added gratuity is 20% instead of 18%.)

I'm not sure how many people you have in your 3 families, but keep in mind the discount is only good for up to 10 people.
