I'm sure this has been asked before, but here we go again. Is Tables in Wonderland worth the price? We are a party of 3, always eat one table serivce meal a day, going for a week over Thanksgiving, and I have an Annual Pass. Thanks!!! :goodvibes

to me it is worth it. Remember that the card does not include Holidays. So thanksgiving would be out for ts meals.....
Where you will be doing a TS each night, this card would pay for itself...Especially with three people...
We go numerous visits to the house of the mouse ...so our AP gets a work out as well as the TIW card..

Thank you for your response. My daughter also has an AP, my son does not. Is there any reason to purchase ToW for anyone but me since the whole party can benefit from the 20% discount?

No, do not get a second card as they charge extra for a second (or replacement) card. The card is valid for a group up to ten people.

And it is definitely worth it. Blockout dates are:
Easter Sunday
Mother's Day
4th of July
Thanksgiving Day
Christmas Eve and Day
New Year's Eve and Day

Here is a working example, using $100.00 as the original bill to make the math show up easily. Note this is for Table Service. At Counter Service there is no gratuity added.

100.00 - Original Amount
*20.00 - Discount
*80.00 - Subtotal
*18.00 - Gratuity Added based on $100
**5.20 - Sales Tax on $80
103.20 - Final amount charged, takes into consideration discount, gratuity and tax.

Without TiW Discount (and still figuring 18% Gratuity)

100.00 - Amount of Bill
*18.00 - Gratuity
**6.50 - Sales Tax on $100
124.50 - Total

$21.30 - Savings using TiW Card.

(Note - At Victoria and Albert's the added gratuity is 20% instead of 18%.)
* Ignore the asterisks; they are there only so the columns/numbers line up properly.

If you will be spending at least $375 it breaks even, anything more and you save. Do the math and I'm sure you will see that you will save. Not hard at all to pass $375 doing at least 1 TS per day for two or more people in WDW. :)

I just complete a rough Excel spreadsheet comparing completely OOP w/ TIW card and QSDP...(we are staying club level) and found that the QSDP combined with TIW card is our family's best option. My family consists of two adults and one child, but the child will be 10 next year! No more children meals at Table service for him and that really boosts up the cost!

Thanks everyone!!!! Definitely going to fax my application in first thing tomorrow morning. We've tried the dining plan once, OOP works better for us. Plus, this is good for a year, and since the new military offer has been released, I think I'll bring the family back for spring break. Just won't tell DH until the night before, because I think he'll revolt...he's just not the Disney person the rest of us are!

No! Don't fax your application now! TiW cards are active when issued. You want to purchase your card when you get to WDW, at any Guest Relations window in any park or DTD. The card will then be valid from that date until the end of the following month one year later = thirteen months approximately from date of purchase.

If you buy it now, you lose the value between now and when you get to WDW for your vacation.

Yes, wait and purchase there. Also it's good for drinks at the bars/lounges. We like to sit at Victoria Falls and have a drink before Boma and you get the 20% off.
