Hi..Was wondering if anyone can share any information with me about this. I'm wondering are there restrictions to it and can it only be used at certain places? Any info would be great.
Thanks!

Info on it can be found here on the DIS, including a list of all the current restaurants (at the bottom after the events) that accept it :)

And it's only available to AP holders & FL residents, if you didn't know that part.

thank you for the responses. So can you use the pass at anytime at these restaurants or is it just lunches, dinner? Sorry, for all the questions. We just got an annual pass and now are considering this option.

You can use it at any time (B, L, D), except a few blackout dates (like Christmas Day, New Years Day or Eve, and a few others.) We had one while we recently had APs and it worked well for us. It didn't take long to realize the savings above the price of the card. A lot of people think there isn't much savings since they add an 18% tip, but unless you make a habit of not tipping, you saved that amount (just remember so you don't add a tip the second time). Also, TIW can be used to discount the purchase of alcoholic beverages if that appeals to you.

With our eating tendencies when we are at WDW, we would never be able to get our money's worth with the DDP, but TIW suited us perfectly, and being good for a year, it matches up with the extra times we visited to use our AP. Make sure you know everywhere you can use it, because not just sit down restaurants accept it. We used it at Flame Tree BBQ in AK also.

Here is a working example, using $100.00 as the original bill to make the math show up easily. Note this is for Table Service. At Counter Service there is no gratutity added.

100.00 - Original Amount
*20.00 - Discount
*80.00 - Subtotal
*18.00 - Gratuity Added based on $100
**5.20 - Sales Tax on $80
103.20 - Final amount charged, takes into consideration discount, gratuity and tax.

Without TiW Discount (and still figuring 18% Gratuity)

100.00 - Amount of Bill
*18.00 - Gratuity
**6.50 - Sales Tax on $100
124.50 - Total

$21.30 - Savings using TiW Card.

(Note - At Victoria and Albert's the added gratuity is 20% instead of 18%.)
* Ignore the asterisks; they are there only so the columns/numbers line up properly.

Yes, Laura. I bought mine at the Guest Relations kiosk outside the International Gateway of Epcot while I was activating an AP. You can show the cast member the AP and request to purchase the card. You'll probably be asked to show ID, too.

It's just as easy as buying the AP. Get the card before that Yacht Club breakfast!

Thank you everyone. We have decided to purchase it since so many of the places we are dining at are on there. So we will get the AP and TIW.

I am also very curious of this, I am a DL AP and was going to upgrade it the premier in a couple of months. I was wondering if I get the premier at DL, can I get the TIW card when I show up at WDW during my trip? I would assume that I can go to guest relations at any part of the resort and buy the TIW card with the premier pass?

What about the beverages? Is it good at the countries in Epcot like the margarita place in Mexico, for instance?

You can't use the TiW card at any of the 'cart' type places. But it is good at most of the restaurants and lounges...so nice to have.
I don't do the ddp anymore simply because the TiW card is a much better deal for us. I go to WDW several times a year and the card usually pays for itself in a week of use. I know that when I'm there in early Aug, the gratuities that I would pay come to almost $190!!! That's how I track what I'm saving when using the TiW card...it is the same as my tip at each meal.

You can't use the card for the vast majority of QS spots though. There are a few places, like the food court at POP, where you can use it. If there is no table service available, you are able to use the TiW card. Pop has only a food court. Same with the All Stars.
