Okay, we are picking up a TiW card tomorrow. I'm curious:

1) With the valet parking, is it only after 5pm like the theme park parking? Or can I valet for breakfast? Can I go to a theme park afterwards and return that evening with a breakfast receipt? Is it covered even if I only go have drinks and/or dessert?

2) Is the 18% added to the CS locations? What about the bars (Tambu/Tune-In, etc.)?

3) I've read in other threads it expires the end of the month after your anniversary. Is that still the case?

Thanks so much.

I don't know the answer to #1, but I doubt you could park there at breakfast and not get your car until late without having to pay--it would stand to reason only about 3 hours for any meal.

2 18% added to bars and TS, nothing added to the CS

3 Yes the card expires on the last day of the month, 13 months from your purchase date.

Thanks, patsal! That's awesome to hear. :)

Anyone for sure on #1? We have a PAP so parking charges aren't a worry, but I can see us stopping at Kona for breakfast and then stopping at Captain Cook's for a Dole Whip before going home (or a Cape May/Beaches & Cream similar scenario) and if I can avoid moving the car, that'd be awesome. If not, no big deal.

You can use it for any deluxe resort where you have a dining reservation, any time of day. BUT, you are limited to the amount of time and they will ask to see your receipt of your meal where you used the TIW card. We just ate breakfast at the Grand Floridian Cafe a few weeks ago. We had to show our card when we got out of the car and again when we picked up the car and they asked to see our receipt.

You can use the valet perk at any time of day. But you are generally limited to 3 hrs. You could not park for breakfast in the morning and then spend all day in a theme park.
You can get the valet perk even if you only have drinks and/or dessert. As long as you bring that receipt back showing you used TIW for something.

There is NO gratuity added at CS locations. The gratuity IS added at bars and lounges.

You get 13 months plus some days that complete the next month on your card. For example, I bought a new TIW card on 12/11/10. It expires 1/31/12. So since you are buying 2/10/11, your card will expire on 3/31/12.

Thank you, Abby!

It took us about 30 minutes to pick one up at Magic Kingdom Guest Relations, and I used it that evening at Beaches and Cream. Everything worked just like everyone said, of course. :lovestruc
