I agree with this. Also, it takes several weeks to get mailed to you. Depending on when your trip is, you could miss it in the mail. No harm just buying it when you get there. It only takes about 5mins from the ticket window.

If you buy it over the phone or on-line, it is active as of the date of purchase. It's not like an AP where you have to activate the voucher. So there's no real benefit to getting it early.
