Does anyone else remember when the legendary DIS member Janet2K had her vowel renewal reception there with the dinner and all? It was pretty amazing!

Not a member but curious about this. Does Disney often shut down rides for private events during normal park hours? I assume that that the Great Movie Ride will be unavailable those nights. Does anyone know what time the ride will actually be shut down?

Okay, sorry, I'm very very excited, and there is no one home to do the happy dance with me. This will be the first time DH and I have gotten to do anything like this. I am SO taking pictures and writing a blog post when I get back.

I've seen the pics of the vow renewal at Disney Food Blog, so I have some idea of the event. Does anyone know if there will be characters in the scenes and whether we have to walk from one scene to the next course?

I sent an e-mail as well, we will see. I do not have a TIW card currently though because we just renewed our annual pass and we will not be getting the card until we redeem our passes on July 16. I put that in the e-mail letting them know we will not have it until a day before the event, so we will have to see what happens. Thought I would try anyway! What do you think?

I received a phone call today from Disney about the event. I wasn't home so I will call in the morning to work out a few details. DH (he can't go to Disney with us this time) says go for it and have a great time with DD and DS...I have a wonderful DH!!! I will let you know tomorrow if we are confirmed!

MorenaSangre - Hopefully we can meet up and take a few DISS pictures! From what I saw posted from January, it looks like you walk to each area/scene for each course.

Just got off the phone and now we are confirmed for "The Great Movie ride" event!!! I was told we would get an email in a few days with all the info. I was also told the event is now full and they areonly taking wait list now. Thanks OP for the first post, that is why we were able to get our reservations! I plan on taking lots of pucture!

Price is steep but it looks awesome. I would love to do this but am never in Disney when these events are scheduled.

Three more days until we get to Disney and "The Great Movie Ride." We are to check in around 7:00 P.M. but I am not sure we will get to enter until 7:30.

Two points- first, yes, I do remember Janet2K and her awesome vow renewal pictures. I esp. loved the Wizard of Oz dessert. Second- I couldn't resist commenting on the "vowel renewal" part, it had me laughing.
