Have any of you done anything to help keep your TiW card in decent shape? Mine has survived 6 trips over the term of ownership and its starting to show it. Everything is still legible, but it has given fits when they swipe it in the card scanners. I'm surprised how good it still looks considering it being in my pocket and backpack, getting caught in rain and the occasional splash from a ride.

What steps have you taken to keep yours in good condition? I thought about laminating it, but would guess they couldn't swipe it at that point. I used to keep it in my room locker and take it out when we were heading out to a reservation, but have started to keep it on hand at all times since we have been doing more spur of the moment dining options.

DH has one of those plastic waterproof cases you get at say a water park. He keeps the TIW card, AP discount card, DVC card, ID, etc in it. It's always together and never really had issues with it getting damaged.

It isn't actually paper. It's a fiber blend like Tyvek and they usually hold up ok. They do get demagnetized rather easily. if they get wet, they should work OK once they dry unless they get demagnetized. right now I have one of those RFID blocking cases that I bought because it was cheap, not because I thought anybody was trying to scan my RFIDs. But they are actually great to keep your ID and cards in, they're hardsided and can fit into a pocket.

You can call and have the TiW folks send you a plastic version of the card.
