Our Rehearsal Dinner is this Sunday. We have been planning to buy two TIW cards to use them to get a discount at 'Ohana... I JUST saw online that they can't be used on holidays including Mother's Day. :headache: Does anyone have any experience with this? Is the "no holidays" thing actually enforced? Do you think they might make an exception since we are a large group (discounts will only apply to half the guests) and it's for a Rehearsal Dinner? I've been trying to call 'Ohana directly but not having any luck getting through. Thanks girls!

Aww, that stinks! Unfortunately because you are a large group I think they'd be more likely to enforce the rule because you stand to get more of a discount. I hope you're able to get through and get an answer soon. Any chance you can add the dining plan on last minute and use some of the credits to help pay down the cost? I hope you have a great rehersal dinner either way!

Good point...

We actually both do have the dining plan (the standard one). I planned to buy the TIW cards because they would pay for themselves just at the Rehearsal Dinner. We're going for 16 days total so I thought they might also come in handy anytime we buy food that is off the dining plan. (I do have more dining reservations booked than I have meal credits for, so there will be meals that we pay out of pocket for.) Plus I figured I would get the 20% on any alcohol, since that isn't covered by the dining plan.

Do you mind if I piggyback and ask another TIW question?

Do any of you know how to get the discount at places like CRT and Hoop de Doo where you have to pay in advance??? Just wondering :)

Hi, you can get the discount for tables in wonderland at places like that. I think there are restrictions for hoop de doo like you can only do the late show.

When I booked Cinderela castle over the phone I just told the women we had tables in wonderland and we booked it at 20% off. Hope that helps :)

It does! Thanks! :)

Hi there... not to high jack this thread.. but can someone please explain what the Tables In Wonderland are.... thanks so much and sorry for cutting in :)

Tables in Wonderland is a discount card available to Annual Passholders for $75/year (currently). With the TIW card, you get 20% of meals at most Disney table service restaurants, including the alcohol, for up to 10 people.

As for holidays: I bought my TIW card on Saturday April 23 and they specifically told me I would not be able to use it for meals on Sunday (Easter). I was bummed because I had planned on using it for those meals, but figured that between that trip (a 3 day mom/daughter trip) and a trip with my boyfriend later this year, and marathon weekend in January, it would still really be worth it...

On Easter, I decided to try it just in case....I successfully used it at Sci-Fi Dine In Theatre at DHS and at Narcoosee's at the Grand Floridian. The best part?? My savings over the three days we were there paid for the card...so any future savings are gravy. Yay. (we did table service for lunch and dinner each day).

However, I think the previous poster does have a point about a larger party attracting more attention--may be more likely to get the rule enforced..So I would defintely EXPECT that you won't get the discount, and then if you DO get it, you will be super happy and excited. Hopefully it will go in your favor!! But if it doesn't, I hope that you will benefit enough from the card over the week to make it worth it...I was pleasantly surprised how quickly the savings added up and there were just two of us.

Good luck and congratulations!! Have a wonderful time!!

Brooke
