Tables in Wonderland 2011 even worth it??

Mexican pavilion and the Rose and Crown are the only two that I can think of.

La Cava del Tequila (the bar in the Mexico pavilion) does not accept TIW. The Rose and Crown pub does. So Rose & Crown is pretty much the only bar in Epcot where you can use it, because none of the other restaurants have bars.

Bars in other parks where you can use TIW: Tune In Lounge at DHS. Unfortunately there are none at AK (Dawa Bar doesn't accept it, neither does Yak & Yeti or the Rainforest Cafe) and no alcohol is served at the Magic Kingdom.

If you are buying a TIW with the idea that you will get discounts on your alcohol purchases in the parks (outside of the restaurants), remember you'd get much more mileage out if it at resort lounges. (Also note the pool bars generally don't take TIW. I think they do at the values, but at the values the pool bar is the only bar.)

Finally went to La Cava del Tequila last week for the Tequilla sampler. I thought it was excellent but I really didn't like to see them lined up pre-poured. They served this bloody Mary like salsa with it and that was EXCELLENT.

That Bloody Mary -ish stuff is called sangrita. I like it, too. And if you get the shrimp cocktail bar food at La Cava, the little shrimpies are swimming in it.

A big perk is the TIW also covers alcholic beverages. So if you have a drink with your meal (at a TS) it's also 20% off and most hotels other than the values have a lounge that you can use it at too.
Also saves me more money since the gratuity added is only 18% and I ususally tip 20% or more depending of course on service.

You can use the TIW at CS restaurants in Animal Kingdom (except at Yak & Yeti). So if you want to order a beer, order one at a CS. You would get 20% off the beer and no tip is required at CS restaurants.

I've got a question...I got the fantasmic dining package @ HBD for our trip next week. According to the website the Brown Derby is a la carte...what does that mean...it said that TIW can't be used on F! dining pkg but if HBD is a la carte then I can choose anything off the menu and pay for what I order...if anyone have experience at F! pkg with TIW please let me know how this works...Thanks

I think the only F! meal you can use it on is H&V since the package is the same price as a regular ADR there. It says Brown Derby is a la carte but it really isn't-you still pay a fixed price like at Mama Melrose and they say that fixed price is a "special offer" so you can't use your TIW there-at least I haven't been able to.

I have said it before, but I will say it again.

For individuals who hold an annual pass, they already have discounts at many eateries around the World.

Now, some of these discounts are for the week day only,or are limited to four people per annual pass, and do not include discounts on alcoholic beverages. Yet, for many people, these already included discounts makes the "break even point" for a TIW higher.

If you are already planning on eating at the times and locations listed, then you are paying the $75 for an increase in discount of only 10% In those instances, the user would need to order $750 to reach the break even point. There are several establishments that already give a 15%-20% discount to Annual Passholders, at certain times, without the need to purchase TIW.

This is not to say that Tables in Wonderland is not a good deal, but that for certain people, it is not as good a deal as others. It also means that for certain dining patterns the "break even" point could be closer to $1,000+ Here is a list of the dining discounts for 2011.

In addition, for those who are already staying on site, the free parking aspect of TIW has no added value.
