Does anyone know how much the basic white table clothes in the attic are? With rose petals on them maybe?

I'm trying to establish a budget for our meal there and want to include them, so if anybody has a BEO with The Attic on it, and are willing to share it would be VERY helpful!

Thanks!

Basic white tablecloths are included at no extra charge. :thumbsup2

Yes! I was just looking at a wedding where they went with no tablecloths at the Attic... was it Toni's? ...Or maybe Wazzo's? :scratchin

Do you know of the table set out / table plan in the attic?

Do they take away all the sofas / chairs to make room for the tables?

I am just in the process of thinking up a possible seating plan.. but i think in the end we may go with a 'sit where you like buffet' thing.

Also, im just a little curious ... there is the windows on the main side that looks out over to SBP... i have noticed there looks like some other windows on the other side... where does this look out to? I havent seen many photos of 'this side of the wall' and would like to!

Also, just curious ... does anyone have any suggestions or advice on how to seat people at the attic?

If you had the reception at the attic? How did you seat your guests?

Stacey-

Based on the pictures I've seen of the meals at the attic, they don't move the sofas out. They might if you ask though-the worst they can say is no, right?

I'm leaving the seating as is and allowing people to sit where ever and with whomever they want for our meal. I want everyone to feel like they are in someone's house enjoying a nice meal with family so I'm going to change things as little as possible.

Even my centerpeices for the tables are going to be family orientated!

They'll be pictures of different couples from our families on their wedding days, going back to my great great grandparents in Ireland.

i have no problem with the sofas - i WANT them there, i was just wondering if the tables in there mean that the sofas have to be moved out...

Do you know what the windows on the other side look out to~? :confused3

Here you go! Note that this one shows the sweetheart table inside against the windows where they usually place the cake table, cuz we didn't want windows behind the cake (for photography purposes).

Also, it doesn't show the four tables for four inside the Attic - they are where the words are...

Nothing is removed and nothing is added - all the tables are already in the Attic, and you can see them in all the pix people post of the Attic.

The Attic has windows on three sides - the main wall looking out over SBP; a couple of windows looking out at the rest of the buildings on the BoardWalk, toward the boat dock, Flying Fish, etc.; and then the glass doors overlooking the patio, which overlooks Atlantic Dance Hall.

Here are pix of that corner:

This is basically what you see:

We did "sit where you like" because we wanted a casual atmosphere.

I didn't have any tablecloths! :thumbsup2

They also placed our "cocktail hour" food near the couches.

I had the immediate family sit at the inside tables. The rest of the group sat outside. We had our sweetheart table near the doors so we could see everyone inside and out.

I really love the look of just the wood top!

Another question! For a group of 20 people, where would we sit? Can we all fit on the patio area? And is the "sweetheart table" always included (even for Escape)?

There are five tables of 4 on the patio and four tables of 4 inside, so, with a sweetheart table, you could so either (though a couple people might have to eat on the couch if you couldn't go outside). I don't see why they would prohibit Escape couples from having a sweetheart table if they wanted one! :goodvibes

I thought I would share some of my pics to give you an idea of our setup.

Our guest book table was out in the hall. Right by the door to go into the Attic.

The appetizers were served by the couches.

Our cake was in one corner. You could see Spaceship Earth from the windows.

:worship: Thank you all for the help/advice on the attic!

The more i see it the more i can't wait to be there! :goodvibes

me too!

I thought that i would really want a traditional ballroom style / formal room ... i have always 'thought' i wanted that, because its the normal thing that people have at weddings.... however, i have been so charmed by this place and i havent even visited it yet! I think its so unusual and different, i know that all of my wedding party will have never been to a reception venue like it and i know they will all love the relaxed casual feel of it.

Is the swan & dolphin a bad view from the attic?

I have read some brides that really hated the s&d view from the side at the attic ... is it really that bad? I dont think i would be bothered by it, but just wondering what some people think?

How large is the patio area outside... i mean, i know where the chairs and tables are, but can you walk far round the outsides?

Also - (sorry for the ton of questions!)

am i correct in thinking the Attic is above Jellyrolls? Does anyone have a photo of this? (to see the outside patio area)

thanks!

Stacey-

Go to this website:
http://www.mouseweddings.com/wedlocba.html

They have a number of pictures of the attic, including 2 from the outside so you can see it above Jellyrolls and get an idea of how far the outside goes.

HTH

And thanks Toni, for those pictures. I showd them to DF last night and now he is pondering the decision: tablecloths or no table cloths.

There are also TONS of pix in my wedding trip report (link in the signature) - just use the index on the first page to go straight to the reception.

Although the Swolphin appears to loom over the Attic...

You actually don't face it from the patio - ADH is next door:

You would have to face the back corner of the patio and look back behind the BoardWalk Inn to see the Swolphin...

Most of the reception action in photos takes place on the parts of the deck that face the BoardWalk, Epcot and Yacht & Beach Club - out of the sightlines of Michael Graves' Folly.... :rotfl: I can only see the Swolphin in about 4 of my 1500+ photos - here are two more:
