Chef Mickey's It is not the best food, but here is why we like it:
I started with a nice fresh salad and fresh fruit. However, the entrees were not as good IMO. The ribs had a good flavor but were fatty. My chicken was dry and the salmon tasted fishy. There was a vegetable side that I liked, but now I can't remember what it was. My DS 7 loved the Mickey shaped ravioli so that was good. There is a nice dessert selection including make your own sundaes. I liked my oatmeal raisin cookie, but the brownie was not worth the calories. I think there are better buffets, but it is a fun place. Donald was very funny with my kids. The other characters just did the autograph/picture and were off. That doesn't seem to bother my kids though! This is my DS 7 favorite place so I am sure we will be back.
Hollywood Brown Derby We haven't eaten here in 11 years (on our honeymoon) so I was excited. It did not disappoint. I came in with a headache and left relaxed and happy. My only complaint is that it seems too rushed for a nice restaurant. With an appetizer, entrees, and dessert we were in and out in an hour. We started with the cobb salad. My DH has been talking about this for 11 years. Sometimes he attempts to make it himself! I don't like it as much as he does, but I think it is good. Everything is chopped very small. There are about 8 things in it, and they mix it right at your table.
My husband had the sesame seared ahi tuna. He liked it a lot.

I had the pan fired grouper. It was delicious! I loved having a little bit of everything in one bite. I can't remember what the sauce was, but I liked it!

We shared a piece of the grapefruit cake based on the Dis recommendations. It was perfect. A very light, moist, citrusy cake so you don't feel stuffed when you go back out to the hot, hot park! It was a very good meal and tied with Boma for my second favorite of the trip.
Akershus (Norway) We definitely went here for my DD 4. Even though I have a princess fanatic, I am not a fan of having princesses here. I think Epcot should be about experiencing different cultures, but I digress. Anyway, you are called in as a royal family and first get your picture taken with Ariel. I think the whole place was probably seated before the other princesses started circulating. They go around once and then you will not see them again unlike Crystal Palace or Chef Mickey's where they keep circulating. The cold bar was good. I liked the different cheeses. My DS ate a lot of turkey which was good because he usually only eats pasta in Disney!
For our entrees I got the traditional Kjottaker. It is a bit like a meat loaf. I thought it was good. Not the best thing I ate during the week, but decent. My husband had the cod which is what our server liked because he ate a lot of it growing up. Here is a picture:

My DH liked it. For dessert they bring a sampler of three things. We all liked the chocolate thing best. I was the only one who liked the rice cream with strawberry sauce. The cheesecake with ligonberries was okay. It was a decent meal, but I would rather eat elsewhere in the world showcase.
