We are planning a trip for mid-December with our three year old daughter, so I reckon one must is the Cinderella Royal Table, which takes two table service meals each. Still, she loves the princesses....

I'm looking for recommendations for Sunday dinner at Downtown Disney. Also looking at Donald's Safari Breakfast on Tuesday, unless a better breakfast is recommended?? That leaves us one table service meal. Crystal Palace seems pretty popular, so I was thinking of going that route for lunch on Thursday.

Thoughts?

Your little one will love Crystal Palace! For DTD I might suggest Rainforest Cafe because of all action and bright colors! ...that is as long as thunderstorms are not scary for your daughter because there are man made thunderstorms that take place about every 15 minutes. Otherwise I might suggest taking her to Beaches & Cream at the Beach Club for lunch followed up with a yummy ice cream treat! Enjoy!

If you don't want to spend 2 table service credits, you might consider Akershus in EPCOT. We went there for breakfast in September and it was very good. My daughter (who is a big princess fan) got to meet Belle, Cinderella, Snow White, Ariel, and Auroa. It is only one credit and the picture taken with Belle is included.
Crystal Palace is good, we had breakfast there and the food was excellent.

We have done the Akershus princess breakfast and it is very nice and the food is good. We would do it again in March, but my DDs want to eat in the Castle. So we're doing CRT, but for future trips, it'll be back to Akershus. Only thing - at Akershus, there's no guarantee of who will be there other than Belle, who is the "hostess." When we were at Aksershus almost a year ago, we took our picture with Belle at the front and then hit the jackpot of Princesses - Ariel with legs, Aurora, Cinderella and Snow White. But that isn't always the group you see at Akershus.

I would opt for Akershus (any meal) and dinner at 1900 Park Fare in lieu of a meal at the castle. Both meals are first rate (although we prefer breakfast at Akershus..yummy potatoes!) and the princesses are amazing! The bonus of the "evils" at dinner at 1900 Park Fare makes the meal fun.

I would definitely skip a meal at DTD and replace with both of these! :thumbsup2

We celebrated our son 3rd birthday at Disney and the following restaurant he LOVED:
Tusker House Breakfast buffet (he loved the characters, musical parade and he did enjoy the food and juice)
Crytal Palace lunch (he liked the food selection and loved the characters...they had a small parade and Pooh gave him a sign to carry)
Hollywood and Vine lunch (you can also go here for breakfast but he LOVES this one b/c he loves the Little Einstein and they have a sing/dance ever 20 mins and a musical parade. The characters came to our table 3x)
Chef Mickey dinner (he loved the characters but my husband and I did not like the food)
CRT breakfast (my son got alot of attention at this place...is it worth 2 credits no really but its worth the memories he has for me...Now we have dinner for our upcoming trip and I need to cancel b/c he doesn't like anything in the menu)
1900 Park Fare Breakfast (good breakfast food selection and GREAT character interaction...Pooh sat next to our son and played cars with him, Tiger played hide and Seek...characters came to our table 3x)
1900 Park Fare Dinner (food really bad when we went but one of the best character meals he remembers. Cinderella came to our table and asked our son to dance with her...she had 1 whole song just dancing with him. Then Prince came over to talk to our son about the dance and then the stepsitters asking him not to dance with her againg to only dance with them and he told them no thank you (I don't think the step sitters really dance with the kids I think they were joking around with our son)
Cape May breakfast is good too...character came around 2x.

Good luck

Thank you, all. We did the Akershus when we went in late May/early June, so I wanted to try the other Princess dinner.

I am looking at the Rainforest at Downtown Disney. I was hoping to do the T Rex, though it looks like they aren't part of the Dining Plan.

I thought Rainforest Cafe didn't take the dinning plan - has that changed? My understanding of the TS DTD options are Capt. Jacks, Planet Hollywood, Raglan Road and Wolfgang Puck Cafe (not restaurant which is not on the plan and not WPExpress which is CS.) I personally do Wolfgang Puck Express when @ DTD, the best CS option, IMO. Are you planning for Dec. 2010 or 2011, if 2010 you may want to see what's still available.
