This may be a totally stupid question but I was wondering if it is possible to order take out from a table service restaurant in WDW? We have three young kids and would like to eat at some places without having to actually eat there. We will have the dining plan and was wondering if we could do this without making a reservation at a restaurant or if this was not permitted. Thanks for your help in advance.

I do not believe you can do this either. But you can get the counter service restaurants to package your food to-go at some places (Mainly yak and yeti in AK and the chinese place in Epcot). The resorts also have room service but it's expensive and usually requires 2 TS credits, so not worth it. If you are worried about having kids at sit down restaurants, you can trade your TS credits for Counter service. You can also try to pick less busy or Early ADR times to get in and out faster.

The kids might enjoy going to character breakfasts, Lunches and dinners. At Disney World you see kids everywhere, even at the fancy restaurants. But buffets seem to work well for the youngest ones.

Thanks...I figured this was probably not allowed...but I thought it would be useful to us if it was possible...I was thinking maybe for Le Cellier or another type restaurant if we needed to go back to the hotel I would still want to try it even if we couldn't physically fit it in. I think I will maybe just make a lunch reservation to be safe.

Thanks for your help! I really appreciate it!

Just as clarification, only the deluxe resorts have room service. Value and moderarte only have pizza delivery.

You cannot trade your TS credits for CS. This has been allowed on 1 or 2 occasions during free dining, but I've never heard of it being possible as a general rule.

I agree, I've not known of anyone who has been able to take out from a TS place.
