What did you/are you doing for table numbers? I'm trying to get some ideas...I originally wanted my table numbers to be high, but the more I think about it, I think it might look silly because we are having tall centerpieces...we wanted to maybe do something fun instead of just a number...eh I have no idea.

I plan on using movie titles not numbers, and then having some colored linens and movie related items/centerpieces... here are some of the table cards I will use. The tent cards(same image as table cards) are for guests seating and inside each is a quote from that movie... good luck with you plans!:goodvibes

The table numbers just ruin everything don't they??? We plan so much for beautiful centerpeices than have to have freaking table numbers???? Tammy's turned out very well and that's a great option if you can work it into your decor. A lot of brides use disney couples/movies/rides/resorts/parks instead of table numbers. Good luck!!!!

Disney has these gold easels that we are using for our table names.... we are a little strange so our tables are named after the houses in harry potter: Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw etc. and our sweetheart table is Platform 9 3/4.

I chose Disneyland attractions. We matted our white iridescent cardstock on black linen cardstock (same as we used for our programs), and they turned out well. However, our table name holders were too small (borrowed from a friend), and they blew over in the wind.

One idea, if you're inside, is to hang it over each table from the ceiling, kind of like tables in kindergarten (at least in my kindergarten).

Our recpetion was at the Boardwalk resort so we had all of our tables named after famous American boardwalks...the head table being Disney's Boardwalk;)

The table assignment was written on the back of each tag.

Where did you get those table card holders -- Did Disney provide or did you buy??

Our theme is castles so we are using famous castles from around the world --- but we are looking for holders..

Thanks

I'm thinking of having photos of us through the years with the years at table numbers and each table as a different year from one of our childhood...I'm hoping to find some really cute baby pictures!

We are using different characters for each table and will place a frame with a picture of us with that character... We thought it'd b cute to have pictures of ourselves with the characters (hopefully in Christmas garb, since we're having a dec. wedding)...

I made the frames by spray painted very cheap white frames I bought at Micheals for like $2 each with metallic silver paint. My stationer made the cards but I am sure anyone could make them by using good card stock.

I was going to use states that we're from, (We live in Maine, but I was raised in Massachusetts, he in New Hampshire and I spent my summers in Texas), but then I thought people would assume they sat at the tables that corresponded to their home.

So my next idea is to name tables after our pets - 2 Dogs (Aurora Rose, Bugaboo) and 2 Cats (Ty and Apollo). I would use pictures of them. I don't just want table numbers. That would be normal - something I refuse to be!

I like the Harry Potter idea, but my other half hasn't ever read the books or seen the movies. Very cool though :cool1:

All of these ideas are so clever! :goodvibes I think we are going to do numbers, but instead of sequential numbers, ours will be numbers that are significant to us -- our wedding date, our kids' birthdates, etc. Still haven't decided for sure, but I think that is how we are leaning. :)

To be honest, even though each of these are awesome ideas, I think I'm just going to stick with the plain sequential numbers... It's one less thing to worry about... :rotfl:

We're having a sea-themed wedding (DF and I met at a boardwalk at the Jersey Shore), so we'll go there and take close-up pictures of places at the boardwalk that have meaning to us...aka the sign of the arcade we met in, the bench at the end where we sat and talked, etc.

Then, we'll have the picture framed with a blurb underneath describing its significance. Right now we're planning on doing clear luggage tags with inserts as place cards and one side will have their name and the picture of the table assignment. We thought it'd look better after the wedding on their luggage tags rather than:

Mr. & Mrs. Joe Smith
Table 5

We also thought it'd be quite entertaining to watch everyone go around and try to match up the pictures. It's the little things... popcorn::

Go luck with planning...HTH!

We are having a "Happily Ever After" Themed wedding. Our tables are going to be named after famous fairy tales and there will be something as a part of the centerpiece that is of some signifigance to the story.

The head table will be the title that we come up with for our own story. The title will be worked into the scrapbook of our life together so far, that guests can check out when they pick up their place cards.

That is sooo cute!
