Hi everyone.

Was wondering if anyone here has gone to the Lower UK terrace for their dessert party? If so, were the tables real dark? Does one need to have lighting on the tables?

Thanks everyone!

we had our dessert party there at the UK Lower Terrace and yes it is pretty dark. there is little lighting, mainly around the table where the desserts are but that's about it.

Thanks so much tinkerbela. Did you have table lighting? Since it is so dark, would you suggest some then?

We are having our rehearsal dinner at the Lower UK terrace. When we had our floral planning session with Laura from Disney floral she recommended that we have some sort of lighting on the table. We are doing table lanters with candes in them. It's $124 for 6 lanterns plus the candles. I think it will look pretty cool. I guess votive candles blow out easily at Lower Uk because it's on the water. I believe there were also gel candles which may have been a little less than the lanterns, but we liked the lanterns.

Hope this helps! :)

Gina, Laura is also in charge of our floral and she recommended the same thing for us at UK lower :) Ours are described as hanging lanterns w/ battery operated votives...do you think that is the same as yours? We saw one of the lanterns at Franck's and we thought it was very cute!!

I just noticed your date...we're getting married 4 days after you!!! November 1, 2005 at the Wedding Pavilion. We're doing our dessert party on Oct 31.

Snow_White,

That's so funny! :) It sounds like the same thing we have, because I remember when we were at our planning session she showed us the one in Francs. Wow...we may run into each other while we there. Where are you staying? It seems like October/November is a busy wedding time down there! :) Who is your wedding planner? We have Ken Weaver.

How funny--we have Ken Weaver too!! We think he's great! We just got our budget from him today, so we're having a blast going through it all :) We're staying at the Grand Floridian in a "lodge tower" room. It's basically similar to a regular room, but it has an extra sitting area with lots of windows, which I thought would be good for hair and makeup. Where are you guys staying? Yes, it does seem like Oct/Nov is a busy time for them.

I'm so excited about the whole thing!!!!!!!!!!

We are really happy with Ken too, he has been great. He is always really responsive, even though I know he is super busy! We are staying at the Grand Floridian too. I don't remember what type of room my mom reserved, but only have two bridesmaids so we should have enough space. I am getting really excited too, I find it's hard to focus on anything else!
