Solo trip, so my planning is very different. I'm wondering if I should make ADRs for dinners or if I will have any luck trying walk-up for one person. I definitely don't mind sitting at a bar... although I'm not sure which restaurants have bars that would let you order food along with drinks. I'm thinking of places like Flying Fish, Narcoosee's (if they are open), Citrico's, HBD, etc. Adding to this is that I have had bariatric surgery and eat very little, so having a full sit-down meal is a waste of food (and money). Is it possible to be seated at restaurants (expecting the lounge/bar) without a reservation and get something small to eat?

Bars are all first come, first serve. The only exception I know if Space 220 lounge, which does take reservations. If you have your heart set on a restaurant then I would make an ADR. Skip any of prix fixe meals if you don't think you will get your money's worth. They don't charge based on how much you eat.

And don't be surprised if you can't get reservations for one, but you can for 2. Since 1 person or 2 will occupy the same size table, I don't feel bad when I always make my reservations for two, then when I show up, I say that my husband couldn't join me (even though it's because he's home cat-sitting). No problem-no cancellation fee.
