Table for 3

I hope this doesn't sound foolish but do they take requests for a table for 3. I know my children are going to be spending alot of time in the labs so I thought it would be nice if the 3 of us at least had some time to chat in between their busy schedules. It's not that I don't want to socialize but I know how little I'll be seeing of my children. I figure I'll have plenty of free time myself to talk with others onboard and not much with the children. I told them that all I ask is that they eat dinner with me and go to the show after that it is up to them what they want to do. That doesn't sound strange does it???

On our first cruise, My Mom, Nana and I were sat at a table of four, so yes you can be alone with a group of 3 (dependig on how full the ship is, but Disney will try their best to accomodate you).

On our second cruise, we had requested to sit with another family, and were seated at a table for 8... it turns out the ship wasn't that full and they switched to sit with friends, so it was just the three of us at a HUGE table!!! No worries though, I got lots of extra leis on tropical night!

Just to let you know we also had a table for 4 as requested..just for our family AND we booked only a month in advance. The ship was full come sailing date.

You can request a table "alone" for any size party. You will be at a table with 4 places for chairs, but only 3 places will be set.

It is easiest for the staff if you make dining requests thru your TA a couple weeks before boarding (or any time before that.) You can also make requests at Dining Changes after boarding, but that makes more work for the staff as they then have to "reshuffle" what they had already done. Easier to set it up to your specifications in advance!
