I am reading the 2014 Unofficial Guide to Disney World and I came across a section that said there are limited seating for parties of two. In fact, it will take even longer to be seated than bigger parties. Can anyone validate this? I would hate my honeymoon to be ruined due to waiting for tables each day.

Disclaimer: My solo trips have been in early/mid February (before Pres Day), when crowds are lower, so this may not hold true during busier times of the year.

That said, I've done several solo ADRs over the past 2 years, have nearly always been seated at a 2-top, and have never had to wait an excessive length of time (IIRC, I've always been seated pretty promptly/on time).

That's just my experience, take it for what it's worth.

Thanks! We will be going at the beginning of May so it should not be too crowded. Some of the restaurants we chose seemed more geared towards adults so I figure they are use to smaller tables. It's the character meals I wonder will be an issue.

Never ever had an issue finding an ADR or waiting a long time to be seated either when I go solo or with DH and we do character meals a LOT and the characters give us just as much fun as they do the real kids

You will have a great time

I go a lot and often solo and more often with just two of us. Getting an ADR for a popular restaurant at the time you choose is definitely more difficult when there are just one of two guests. I make ressies online and when I cannot get the time I want for one or two guests, I go back and try with three guests. Often I can get a better time when I ask for three. I have never been challenged at the door of the restaurant. I simply tell them that our third companion could not make it.

I think that it depends on time of year and restaurant; we've never had much problem but we go in low season in early December. It is true, however, that there are fewer tables for 2 - often the two of us get seated at a table for 4. Obviously they'd rather seat four at that table than two but I haven't had any problems booking for next week for two of us. We only booked our vacation about 6 weeks ago and got everything I was hoping for and one I didn't expect to get (California Grill).

I agree with everyone else.;) I think the time of year, and time you want your reservation to be plays a factor. Same as for everyone else. We have been going to DW for years and have never had a problem with getting dining reservations, however.. We are flexible with our times. and there are only 2 of us.:thumbsup2

For Example. We made a ressies a couple of weeks ago at the 180 day mark and we couldn't get California Grill any earlier than 7:20. We're OK with that. Some restaurants are harder to get a ressies at than others.. but that is another story!!:lmao: Good luck and make those ressies now!!!
