I have a couple of questions about seating arrangements for large groups. Our family is planning a trip together which could include 12-15 people. First, what is the maximum amount of people that can be seated at one table? Is it possible to request a couple of tables adjacent to each other for just our family?

Should be no problem. On our March 05 Eastern, we had 11 with all 3 reservations linked. Added 2 FL residents 1 month out and also linked their reservation. When boarding we had a table for 13 (including 1 high chair) waiting for us in AP.

One advantage is that the servers have a set number of persons to work with, ours had 1 or 2 other tables to worry about, so we seemed to get fairly constant service. The table was always against a wall due to its size which was good for us. The stroller fit in the corner, and 2 times my DS6 fell asleep on the floor behind us.

Didn't see many tables larger than 13-14. After our meal we saw the servers break up the tables smaller for the late seating. I wouldn't worry, just make sure all parties have their reservations linked with DCL or your TA.

We had a large group and 2 seperat tables. After the first night we requested to sit together so the rest of the sailing they had it "set up" for us...

Here's a pic from our 04 Thanksgiving Western!!!

Our TA said she would just link our reservations together. She said there are a couple of large tables but we would prbably sit at 2 separate tables right next to each other. This may work out well actually because the kids can sit together at one and the adults at another! :flower: (Unless they get out of hand!)

We had a party of 19. (Our reservations were linked as well). We had 2 tables right next to each other every night. There were 8 kids at one table and 12 adults at the other. The youngest of our kids was 5 and the "older" kids and our servers took care of him just fine. It was nice every night to sit with just adults. Our servers, Sachin and Ben, took great care with the kids, even cutting up their food! :)

On our first cruise we had 13 people all together. We had a table for 14 and just like jrabbit, it was always in the center of the restaurant.

We will be going again in 2007 for my parents 50th wedding aniversary, and there will be 20 (or more!) of us. It sounds like 15 is about the limit for a single table, so we will probably have 2 tables.

It is very important to make sure your TA links your reservations so that DCL knows to seat you all together.

We also had that large "center" table...I believe there is only one that size in the dining rooms....we actually had 14 or 15 at that table....the only drawback was that it was so large that you could not converse with the folks at the other end....so, each night we would switch our seats around!!

Thank you all for your replies! I'm so happy to know we can sit together. Lampskies, I love your picture. Exactly what I envision for our upcoming trip! :flower:
