We decided not to go to Blizzard Beach today but we had decided to go to Anna Maria Island instead.
We changed our minds again and went ..................................................Shopping to...........................Wal-Mart. We are still looking for the illusive Christmas present, we tried the Wal-Mart on the 27 this time and still no luck! Theresa did get some more fabric and some scrapbooking card packs so it wasn’t a total waste of time.
From there, we drove to the Mall at Millennia as we really wanted to get Maddie’s 21st birthday present. She will be 21 on the 31st December and as we knew exactly what she wanted we didn’t want to take the chance that they would be out of stock if we left it until after Thanksgiving.
Theresa also evaluated the shops for the Black Friday sales so she knew in which direction to mount her attack when we arrive. This shopping was becoming more and more like a military campaign by the minute.
Well, an army marches on its stomach so next up we headed for The Cheesecake Factory.
The food was delicious, it pains me to say it as I think of Sheppard’s Pie as being a British dish but I have got to hand it to them, The Cheesecake factory makes the best Sheppard’s Pie I have ever tasted.
Theresa had the Chicken Bellagio which was chicken in light breadcrumbs on a bed of angel hair basil pasta with a parmesan cream sauce and arugula. She said it was absolutely delicious but she could only manage about ¼ of the pasta as she really wanted to save space for the cheesecake we had missed out on, on our last visit.
For dessert I had the apple streusel cheesecake and Theresa had the peanut butter fudgecheesecake. It was all so yummy but Theresa still didn’t manage to finish her dessert. I think this was the first time in recorded history that Theresa hasn’t finished a pudding.
After we’d finished looking around the mall we headed for Sand Lake Road. As we promised to get some Cigars, we were struggling to find the shop even though we knew the number. We saw a Barnes & Noble book shop and, as we had a few books on our list of presents to get, we went in. Theresa’s sister has been trying to get a copy of the second series of Everwood as she is a big fan and we were very lucky to find it here. I sent a text to my BIL as he was desperate to get it deleted off of their sky + box. He sent me one straight back. I could tell he was very pleased. When we came out of the shop I could see the cigar shop in the next parade so that was our next port of call.
After this we went to Michaels’ so Theresa could carry out some more recon. for Friday.
We then went home for a very long nap as we were so tired. We really did seem to still be on English time. We watched an episode of Bones and Theresa wrote up The Happy Book (our holiday journal) before having an early night.
Tomorrow we are off to St. Augustine.
