Sunday 22nd November 2009
We were both up early as neither of us slept well. We both thought wed heard Tilly bark in the night.
As it was really early we had coffee and showers before heading out to .............................. Wal -Mart of course.
We started shopping but soon realized we were both hungry so we visited the Mc Ds which is located inside the store. I had the sausage Mc Muffin which is the same as Id always order over here. Theresa was more adventurous and opted for the bacon & egg Mc Griddle which came inside two maple syrup pancakes. She said it all tasted lovely but she didnt think the pancakes went with the filling. Its that British not mixing sweet and savoury thing again.
After wed eaten, we felt a lot better and were able to go back and make an assault on the shopping. We managed to get quite a few items that figured on our Christmas shopping list and Theresa managed to get a few real bargains, lots of fabric remnants in a sales bin that she can use in her latest hobby, patchwork and quilting.
Im not sure what time we were up but I do know we had finished at Wal-Mart by 10.20.
Afterwards we returned to the condo to drop off our shopping; this included yogurts and milk so we really had to get them back and into the fridge.
As we had had such an early start we still had the majority of the day left so we headed up to IOA. We made an ADR for Mythos on our way through city walk .
We made our way round the park anti-clockwise and just picked out a few of our favourite rides.
We also took lots of pictures of the progress on the new Harry Potter section. Theresa had a look through a hole in the fence and could see the front of the Hogwarts Express. I tried to get a picture of it but every time I tried there was a workman, stood on the other side, right in the way.
We went for our ADR and had a fantastic leisurely lunch.
I had Pad Thai Paste with shrimp and Theresa had risotto with steak tips, asparagus, mushrooms & spinach with crispy onion straws.
This she accompanied with a glass of white Zinfandel and I had a couple of virgin Pina Coladas.
We followed this with their Chocolate and banana gooey cake, one each this time, and then we washed it all down with a couple of cappuccinos.
We walked anti-clockwise around the rest of the park but we were too full to do any of the big coasters. We did manage to do Spidey though.
We called in at Walgreens to get some of their own brand hand cream that Theresa and my mum both love and we also called in to the Wal Mart on the 535 to see if we could get some Christmas presents that were proving to be a little allusive, unfortunately they didnt have the right ones.
We went back to barefootin and had coffee while watching the TV for the rest of the evening as we were too tired to walk anywhere else.
