Sunday 25th November Animal Kingdom
Stopped off at Dunkin Donuts for a couple of cappuccinos and donuts (lemon frosted, white marbled and Oreo) on the way to Animal Kingdom.
I was very pleased we did because this was the first decent coffee we had had all trip and it became a regular thing for the rest of the holiday, only I’d go and get the coffees while Theresa had a lie-in.
We were at the gate just on 9:00 and even caught some of the opening ceremony.
We went straight for EE but made a wrong turn and didn’t take the shortest route. The queue for the fast pass was longer than the queue for the ride so Theresa queued for the ride and I got the passes.
The ride seems faster to us so Theresa thinks it’s better and I think it’s worse for the same reason.( I’m with Mr Stringer on this one, I want my breakfast to stay were it is thank you very much!).
Next up was Kilimanjaro Safari Ride with the normal photo ops.
We went on both the animal trails with more photo ops.
There was a CM getting the birds to come down to feed so they could count / inspect them and she was using a dog training clicker to do this.
We were both intrigued by the gorilla inspecting its own poop and tasting it!
Oh well, next up LUNCH at the Yak & Yeti, again you will have to wait for Theresa’s review but here are a few photos of the décor.
We did the usual stuff, ITTBAB, Dinosaur and the new Nemo show, which we thought was poor for Disney. It may be that actors holding puppets just don’t work for us.
We watched the parade for the first time; in all the trips we have made we had never seen this before. We both liked it and it had the Christmas touch to it as well.
We left after the parade and went back to Club Sevilla for a swim and a spell in the Jacuzzi. Well I did, Theresa had a power nap.
We had an ADR for Boma for 7:00 and we made sure we were there in plenty of time.
Again you will have to wait for Theresa’s review but I will say, if you go, you HAVE GOT to try the banana bread pudding with the chocolate and rum sauce!!!!!
We ordered coffee but it was only instant and it isn’t a patch on the old African grown one they used to serve.
Again, the weather had been hot and sunny all day, apart from “a few sprinkles” as the Americans say, around parade time.
