Friday 30th November ICE
I got up early again (I start work at 7:00 and it is so in-grained in me now to be up at that time. Funny how its harder to get up when you have to go to work though.
I fetched the coffee and donuts and we went off .shopping again. Joanns, Target (included a stop at star bucks for coffee; Theresa had a white chocolate mocha which she loved.) and Marshalls before a visit to Gaylord Palms and the Ice show.
This was quite good but I think the $12 parking is steep for a show you could walk around in fifteen minutes. We did drag it out a bit longer than that, but not much.
You see a couple of pre-shows, which is their way of dragging it out, before being given a thick parka coat to wear (you will need it, its bloody cold in there!)
Sorry Joh YOU are not allowed to lick the ice.
They change the lighting which has quite an effect on the scultures.
They add food colouring to get the different coloured ice.
The sculptures are good and you can tell there is a lot of work in them, worth a visit to be able to say youve seen it but I dont think we will be hurrying back.
After the show we bought a decoration for the tree which looks like hanging icicles so it will remind us of the show.
We head to downtown and got tickets for Beowulf and had a little time to fill. Had lunch in Wolfgang Puck Café . Another one that will be covered by Theresa Sooooon.
After lunch and the film we stopped to buy a shoe horn to help us get everything in the cases as we fly home tomorrow.
We spent several hours using the shoe horn to good effect then went out to get something to eat.
This time we wanted something local and quick so we went to Bob Evans which is just up the 192 from Club Sevilla and we had a nice meal and a nice server. Worth a visit if youre hungry.
Back to the timeshare and we had an early night as we were flying home the next day and didnt think we would get any sleep on the plane.
