We started the day off with an airboat ride at Boggy Creek.:hyper:

It was really good fun and the boat went a lot quicker than we thought it would. We saw lots of wildlife but unfortunately no gators.:(
They had one back at the dock that you could hold and we got a few photos with it.
He felt really cold to the touch which we didn’t expect.

After this we went shopping for the rest of the day!:faint:

We headed up the Orange Blossom Trail to the Florida Mall and started off with lunch at the Food Court. Theresa and I had the teriyaki chicken and Sesame Chicken with rice for $5.99 each which was really nice.

Mum and Zena had Bourbon Chicken and enjoyed that.

Fully refreshed we got down to some serious shopping. Yankee Candle, Abercrombie and Fitch and Ritz were all given a thorough investigation before we moved onto Scrappy Boutique at the Terrace. Theresa had a looooong look around while the rest of us headed to Marshalls and picked up a few bargains.
Theresa would like to point out that she had to wait for me far longer at sheplers later in the holiday
She has a very valid point.:rolleyes1
Mum found a Ralph Lauren Polo Shirt for $30 for Callum as one of his presents as it was his eighteenth just after we got home.

After the Florida Mall, we headed off to Festival Bay to have a look around Bass Pro and Sheplers. :woohoo:

We stopped on route at George’s Music to buy Callum’s 18th Birthday present and then I dropped Theresa off at Michaels’ so she could continue with the scrapbook shopping. When we reached Festival Bay I left the ladies in Sheplers while I went round to Bass Pro to get a few bits and pieces. When I returned they had found several things they wanted to get but the 20% discount ticket was in Theresa’s bag and we were going to come back again so they were happy to leave them until then.

However I found the PBR shirt that I wasn’t able to get in November and they only had one in my size; so I HAD to get it.;)

When I got to the register I mentioned we were going to get a lot more but didn’t have our 20% voucher on us the clerk said no problem and gave me two.:thumbsup2

Now that would never happen over here.

I caught up with the others, who were outside the shop by now, and told them, but they were starting to flag and said they would still prefer to come back and get their stuff on the next visit.

We drove back to Michaels’ to collect Theresa but she wasn’t done so we went next door for a coffee at Joe Muggs.

I have to say the Mocha is absolutely the best I have ever tasted, and I drink a lot of coffee. Theresa came in and had a Caramel Macchiato which she declared as being delicious.

You all know we can’t have a days shopping without a trip to Wal-Mart so that was our next stop. We went to our favourite one on the 192. Mainly as I’d bought a pair of shorts here that had my size on the ticket but were in fact about two sizes too small. I got them exchanged, but the process in The States is a lot harder than at home. I had to go to the returns desk and get my paperwork checked then go and collect the right sized pair, which I tried on to make sure they were ok, and then return to the exchange desk and get the old receipt stamped and be issued with a new one.

After Wal-Mart we went to Bob Evans for Tea.

All very nice and very reasonable; sorry no food photos again.

Off to Discovery Cove tomorrow.

Glad you enjoyed the airboat ride, it's something we've never fancied as Kerry is scared of aligators and Paul is worried he's going to get eaten alive by the mozzies :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Great day of eating and shopping - gotta love the terriyaki and bourbon chicken at the Florida Mall :thumbsup2

Another great day :)

Another great day.Dh loves the airboat ride but don't fancy it myself. Too many bugs for my liking.

We've not done it before as Maddie is also scared stiff of the Gators getting her.

The mozzies would have had a very hard time keeping up with the boat. We had the DEET with us but didn't need it. We didn't see a mozzy all the time we were there.

Sounds like a great day, very tiring tho! :goodvibes

Nice day old chap, really like Boggy Creek - reckon it would be a real laugh to have a go in one of the airboats - wonder if you could "roll"one:confused3

I can do you a shot of a gator...

Personally I think Maddie's got a VERY good point!

Always gotta like a Bass Pro Shop and Sheplers combo - GIT 'R' DONE!! I keep trying to buy stink bait in Bass Pro Shop, but Deb won't let me - I don't know what she thinks I'd do with it:confused3 :lmao:

A couple of suggestions though, a trip to Florida Mall, surely it's got to be Orlando Ale House for lunch - wings and cheap beer - I rest my case:thumbsup2

That would be on account of him being cold-blooded then, Tone. ;)

Story of my life. Anyone can see that I'm clearly a perfect 10. :rolleyes1

where were you when you got your 'gator' shot Matt?

So Theresa notes that you spent a lot of time in Sheplers. Surely she can't be surprised at that. We all know you should've been a cowboy.

About the pants that were supposed to be your size but seemed to be two sizes too small--I often have that same problem myself after a week or so of vacation eating!

Boggy Creek. It was quite cold though so he was sat around trying to get warm. I've got another which is of all of him - he was a large chap it is safe to say!

The Gator was several degrees below the ambient temperature, smarty pants :)

OK I know I wish I was a size 34 waist but these had 36 inch printed on the outside label and 32 on the tag inside, I guess I should know better and always try before you buy.;)

You look like a perfect 10 to me Debs. ;)

great day,we have a visit to boggy creek planned this trip and Im terrified:scared1:

Another good day Tony:thumbsup2 Like the picture with the alligator.Hubby would love to do this excursion, too scary for me.x.
